I remember reading icebreaker and getting confused why everyone was so obsessed with it lol I’m glad you feel the same way 😅 I think I read the midnight library and if we were villains eh both mid, okay

Icebreaker is one of those books that I've been curious about because of the sheer popularity of it but I'm convinced now that I'm not missing out. Smutty books with no interesting story or characters are just NOT it for me 😂 My worst read of the month was Gothikana for those exact reasons
Your definitely not missing out! Icebreaker was so horrible in my opinion🫣 But the second book in the series is so much better actually

Don‘t fall for the popularity of Icebreaker, I did and I wanted to DNF it several times, I don‘t know how I managed to get through it but I didn‘t enjoy it at all. No plot just smut.
But it taught me that just because something is popular doesn‘t mean it has to be for me😂
Honestly save your money girl and don’t read it 🤣 it’s just all smut and all about how hot each character is hahaha
You just explained all my thoughts about Icebreaker! I hated it so so much😂😂 I finished it but had to force myself into it so bad.

Hi Sarah, I’m a new subscriber. I’m really enjoying your videos, you have a comfortable voice, and I really like the cozy vibe of your content. In April I just read The Crown of Gilded Bones by Jennifer L. Armentrout, this is the third book of the series Blood and Ash, I started the Dark Artificies series by Cassandra Clare (it’s also in the Shadwhunter universe, but I liked more The Infernal Devices trilogy). I also read One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig and it’s one of my 5 star read this month and this month I will be hopefully read read the sequel. I started and finished the Letters of Enchantment duology by Rebecca Ross (I gave both books 5 stars, but I slightly liked better the first book, Divine Rivals). I read a book that I almost DNF-d, the title is A Shadow in the Reaping by Brynne Weaver, I started this book because I really loved Butcher & Blackbird, and I’m glad that I finished because the second book is way more interesting. My other 5 star read in April that I highly recommend is the Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer, the humor is like chef’s kiss for me. I also read a book in my native language which is Hungarian.

One of my favorite k dramas ever is 25 21 because it captures that feeling of being a teenager and the way you view the world, love & friendships at that age, so I definitely want to experience that with a book too. If he had been with me is a must read for me ❤ also nothing compares to the Tumblr era 🙈✨️ great video as always sis 🥰

Same with me, if a book doesn’t have a huge amount of spice, and still plot, then I won’t DNF it, but if it has a lot, then I usually will either DNF it or suffer through it and hate it.

You're waking up to a bunch of comments from me bc I'm binging your channel lol! But we seem to have VERY similar tastes and I've found with Emily Henry, people either like Beach Read & Book Lovers, or Happy Place and People We Meet on Vacation... and I think her recent release falls in the latter. I like all her books but I fall in the latter group bc they have more depth and less fluff. So, I'd recommend trying Happy Place or People We Meet on Vacation next! But better than EH, imo, is Abby Jimenez! Read Part of Your World, and if you like that, you'll love the ones she wrote after it!!!

Nice Wrap Up Sarah. I've been reading book 2 in a trilogy The Blackest Heart by Brian Lee Durfee a fantasy novel and liking it so far. I've been reading poetry as well for April Poetry Month. I recently went to a spoken word open mic night and got up on stage and read one of my poems, it was fun! I'm always juggling at least two books! I'm glad you liked The Hobbit!
I normally love contemporary romances but I've heard from multiple people icebreaker isn't the best so I'll probably steer clear, have a great day!
Maybe see if your local library has it!! Otherwise maybe avoid it 🤣🥰

GILD is nothing compared to GLINT! That’s where the real story starts. GILD is just a huge prequel that’s too long in my eyes.

I finally finished Middlemarch by George Eliot. It took two months, and I'm glad I read it, but talk about language and difficulty getting through that aspect of the book! I'm looking forward to the rest of this months fun, light reads!
