But this still doesn't mean wearing a hijab means you are entitled to your religious opinions. There are Catholic people who are in the government or the parlement a d respect the dress code, but they're still Catholic and influenced by their religious beliefs. They just don't justify their political views by their religious beliefs. Everything from the French hijab ban in public if you are under 18 years old, to needing authorization for homeschooling your children, to Muslim women who cover themselves not being allowed to accompany their own children on field trips...
These bans target Muslim women specifically, for a reason.
Keep the women of that group from functioning as equals in your society. Limit their exposure and make them feel like outsiders. Take away their rights to raise their children as they see fit. Lessen the MOTHER'S influence, and ensure that the government can teach their CHILDREN how backwards and oppressive their own families are.

I personally just wear a hijab with normal outfits like salwar kameez, tops and jeans/skirts maxi dresses and basically anything that covers my body. I don’t wear a black burqa. I do get hot sometimes with a hijab on but its tolerable and not that bad. In fact I feel hotter with my hair open lol. I love wearing it and as I said its my identity so I really don’t feel its uncomfortable for me. Also the reason I wear a hijab is because my God commanded me to do so and I do it out of love for my God, its just to protect my religion. Different women have different reasons for wearing hijab. I completely understand if you don’t see the reason behind it and it is okay as long as you don’t judge and criticise me for wearing hijab I think I can respect your opinion.

@Melissa Oestreich yes but this topic is about hijab not the niqab, there truly was no need to mention the niqab at all especially when analysing the current video displayed, although I do understand your opinion as to why you oppose against niqab, it just had nothing do with the topic I had commented about and personally I don’t want to bother about conversing about such topic that does not revolve around this video.

      J. Müller no we don’t. My parents never asked me to wear a hijab I just slowly started doing cause I liked styling it. Ask any hijab On the street most of them will say they weren’t pressured. If you never asked at least 1000 Muslim women then you can’t say most feel pressured if you’re not a Muslim yourself. And a lot of Muslim girls don’t all were a hijab their are many who don’t think it’s the right time for them and their parents don’t force on them ( ik from others around me). So you’re “point” is invalid if you haven’t did a census on the Muslim women community. What you’re saying is to fit your narrative that Islam is oppressive ( which spoiler it’s not). You can’t call an religion oppressive if you have studied it in depth. If you did study it in depth and cake to the concussion it was oppressive then I would have more respect for you.
