Love these videos. I heard Mel Gibson is one of the funniest humans on earth in real life. Always keeping the set very light. I would love to see him do a “Where are they now?” video for all four LW’s.
14:15 Mel Gibson and Michael Keaton talking on the phone with each other, how cool and ironic is that? Ever since they were considered for each other’s roles in Batman and lethal weapon. They should do a movie together, man. They would be awesome.
no apology necessary, you're a hero for making this available. I have a chopped up VHS from SKY TV back in the day where it was shown inexplicably sawn in 2 so I've never seen it in one piece and I've been impatiently waiting for some official release. The fact that this isn't on any of the DVDs or Blu's is a crime worthy of a Riggs wuppin' to all those responsible for the oversight. Coming, as it did, in the 90's when making of's were generally miserable exercises in soul-less, joyless hard sell I hold this to be an example of on set shenanigans at their very finest and proves why those movies are so much damn fun to watch. I guess the audio dropout around 13 mins in is due to some Superman theme rights issue? I'll have to get my version on the net to seal that tiny gap
Yeah, as mentioned in the notes above, they blocked the Superman theme completely on me so my only choices were to mute it or not put up the video at all. Gibson's dialogue is transcribed in the notes too.
@@ManticoreEscapee ah right, I hadn't clicked 'more'. My version won't be of much help then. I guess 'King of the road' is public domain these days, which is a blessing as that's one of the best scenes! I take it you've seen the video diary 1 also knocking about these parts?
Mel loved (loved!) the Three Stooges! Hence the tribute here. Also, he would make these videos as a way of playing around and avoiding trouble during free time onset. During LW 2 he would down a six pack for breakfast, and yet make the shoot on time and totally professional. When the director later found out that Mel was hitting a 6-pack prior to shooting, he couldn't believe it! He held it so well! Staying out of trouble was also the reason why he began nosing around on set, learning the tricks of the trade, and how to direct, pestering his directors with all sorts of questions. The man bursts with energy and creativity. Cannot sit still.
10:29 channel 9, australia. What was mel on?, i would say either snow or whizz, i 'd say hollyweird being a snowy town...it was that ol excuse me im off the trailer to powder my nose routine with mr gibson

kokaine is a helluva drug
13:00 must have been an audio track that had to be removed.
Yes, it was the theme song for Superman. I don't know why it had to be removed, but that's what was originally playing.
Mel Gibson everybody
Great video !!!!!
Oh wow, since 9/11 @16:15 takes on a new meaning.
Thanks!!!
Is that Dylan McDermott saying "Check the maternity wards!"?
17:52
Hilarious ! 👍🏻😅🙏🏻
Love it. Haha.
Who’s the actor at 3:45? I’ve been searching for one of his movies/shows where he is a principal of a school.
Found it in the credits. Tim Thomerson
21 Jump Street episode

Should've ended the franchise with number 2. They killed it the same way they did batman. Throwing in to many famous people to cover for bad script
nothing ever ends
