Nice video I live in upstate ny wondering how the volta batteries do if i winterize but use occasionally in winter but store outside in one of those canvas portable garages to keep snow off?
The Volta batteries can get cold soaked at low temps meaning they won’t accept more charge- you can turn off the Volta system when you’re not using it without any issues.

Our van is currently winterized. When temps are below freezing you can get by not being winterized by keeping the cabin temp comfortable, using built in glycol loop to keep gray tank from freezing. The freshwater tank, lithium batteries and plumbing are interior so keep the cabin comfy. For extremely cold temps (single digits and below zero) check the storyteller Facebook group- there’s a wealth of user experience there on when to winterize.

Great video guys. I had a diesel heater in my last semi truck. They work great. I have been in -15 degrees in North Dakota and that heater would make it too hot inside.
How cold can you go in that rig? Have you camped below zero and stayed warm? BTW, FWIW, nice to see YOU dancing as we’ve seen Chad’s moves more than once LOL
Congrats on the early retirement! I would go to storytellers website and look through their dealer network and call around. You can also check the storyteller Facebook group for reviews of peoples experiences. We’ve worked with and/or heard great things about MB of Birmingham, Conejo RV and Cathy from the Sanford La Mesa.

Getting a home base after 2 years has definitely given us more breathing room. We’ll still be on the road most of the year but loving having a home base for sure

The biggest differences are obviously looks (with stealth graphics package), so everything we walk back home to it we say (holy crap that’s a cool looking van). The main functional differences in 2022 are the 27A output (which can come in handy when you need it), and the NVADER rear racks.
I hate to say it but the video is so much better without Chad! Paul had a real opportunity to be in the spotlight. More of this format in the future please.

Hey Max- we don’t work for storyteller and don’t have a relationship with them aside from being very proud owners. We’re simply putting out the content that we would have wanted to watch before buying our storyteller, and content that other people want to watch based on the views. We try to please everyone and try to mix up our content (daily life vlogs, tours of other rigs, etc.). Ultimately people seem most interested to learn more about what it’s like to live and travel in a storyteller overland so that’s the majority of our content.
It's exactly what I want to buy a 4 x 4 class B. I can save a lot of money not staying at hotels and going snowboarding for three months. The problem for Storyteller has no fixed toilet. What if your partner needs to use the bathroom when you're cooking? He can't take the portable potty out in the parking lot!

Cute dance routine, when I lived up north I would ski too. I sometimes do miss winter snow.
Eldora roads in a car can be scary, but a van, can’t imagine. Copper is another great place to ski in Colorado for beginners.

Haven’t heard of any for the roof, but owl vans makes a ski locker for the rear.

Do you guys deal with any moisture in the van while running the heater? If so any tips on how to combat it?
Nope! It hasn’t been a problem for us- only humidity problem is when we’re camping out in the Everglades in the summer haha
