- Countless cool things happened at the Blanton Museum of Art in 2022.
Colombian artist Oscar Muñoz had his first U.S. retrospective. More than 100 postcards by the legendary Ellsworth Kelly were on view. An 18th-century gown was unboxed and installed for the must-see exhibition “Painted Cloth.” Thousands of students experienced art for the first time in our galleries. Plus, Blanton’s annual baking competition made news around the world, as more than 50 million people read about the artful culinary creations. This and so much more happened at Austin’s art museum in 2022, thanks to the Blanton community’s incredible support. And there will be plenty more things to do and see in 2023, so stay tuned!
