They put it in a fridge because in their normal habitat, apple trees will go through a dormancy period during the cold seasons. That's why putting it in the fridge will trick the seeds into thinking that they are in that dormancy period. Did mine less than a month back and half of the seeds already sprouted
Apple seeds need a winter time I prove it I try with out cold conditions never grow cause am from a warm climate but after putting seeds in cold climate they started to grow

The seeds are meant to sprout inside the fruit/vegtable,that’s why the fruit or vegetable has the nutrients for the seed,then,when it’s not a seedling anymore,it get out of the fruit/vegtable.
Sir I used this seed germinated and I placed in the soil it grow for 3days for 2to5 leaves and the plant became dead I almost tried 5 times same problem continued I am living in Tamilnadu please help me to solve the problem I placed the plants 🌱 in inside of my home and watered daily
Don't giving water daily plants need sunlight and you are using fungicide every 2 to 3 days to survive your plants

I used to do this all the time. Problem is if you get apple seeds from store bought apple you have no idea what you’re going to end up with.
One year I had a bunch of sprouts in cups and in spring I found one still alive in a fistful of dirt with two leaves on it. I planted in bigger pot and it thrived. I then planted it in my yard and it grew.
After about 8 years it started having some fruit - all crab apples.
It was a seed from a McIntosh apple.
You need to graft a branch or get a branch to root.
All really good brand apple trees are CLONES of an original tree.

Yeah maybe it won't bear the same fruit as mother plant...but nature have created seed obviously for a reason with protection of cyanide on the seeds.... For gardeners it's worth wait time of 4-5 years...and it's a enjoyment of growing a plant which doesn't grow in your state climate..

Don't need water when germination process but if tissue paper dry then watering

@@mahamahalakshmi-c7e you don't have to water the seed during the germination phase. Only sprinkle a few drops of water when the tissue paper is dry. Once you change it to the container, touch the soil to see if it's dry and water only when it's dry. Little saplings shouldn't be watered too much or else their roots will rot.
