what is the name of the tow hitch receiver that you are using? I have not been able to find a Tow hitch receiver with a 2.5” or 3” Surface plate. You said “Standard” but all of the Tow Hitch receivers that I have found either do not specify the width of the base plate or I have found that “Standard” is 2 inches. McHitch recommends a 2.5” or 3” surface plate in order to properly secure the McHitch receiver with the pins.
Are these specifically for off road campers or are they also suitable for caravans my van is not an off road van. Can you still use a WDH with the Mchitch?

What do you mean the receiver replaces the tow ball “in reverse of it”? You just bolt it on the tongue.

Sorry there’s better choices out there.. had one and they are a pain to hook up if the camper and tow vehicle are on different levels and angles 👍
We’re now using the Cruisemaster DO35 on all our Campers!
