  • Now that I've had a chance to bring some more stuff from home to work and I've had about 6 months or so of operating out of this Harbor Freight 56 Double Bay Tool Chest I think I'm more than ready and satisfied with the location of the tools. I have been very satisfied with the Overall quality of the Gen 2 Harbor Freight Tool Box as well. We have used the Larin Vice Which I have attached to the top of the tool box and trust me this tool box can support the weight and the beating of hammers! Thanks for your viewership and I hope you enjoyed the Tool Box Tour!

    The old style Craftsman 1/2” ratchet doubles as a mini sledge.

    I used to waist my money on high price tools but I learned that harbor freight the Pittsburgh tools are quality and lifetime warranty so I suggest trying them I like the sets I have the impact sockets are the best I've ever used and that includes crap on I like your Chanel enjoy it thanks

    I've owned a half inch Craftsman socket driver along with the sockets I bought 50 + years ago. They've been with me from California to Hawaii, and back. I bought a set along with 3/8", sockets and several other tools with a now old beat up looking Craftsman tool box.
    I've worked on and under cars and trucks when it's -25° F. I've damaged or destroyed a few small sockets (abused them actually), and no longer have the 3/8" drive.
    I disassembled the 1/2" drive, cleaned and lubricated with a synthetic grease. I have a lot of newer tools as well, but I really liked my old USA made Craftsman tools. Yes, it has fewer teeth inside, but it's never failed me, even when I've put a pipe on it while standing on it. Didn't have a breaker bar decades ago.
    Now, I usually buy Autozone tools with a lifetime warranty or Harbor Freight. I broke a HF 3/8" torque wrench, brought it back, and they swapped for a new one without a problem.
    You make a living with your tools, so I respect your opinion. I'm retired and work on my car and motorcycle, with occasional help for one of my adult kids.
    I enjoy your videos.

    Another idea for timing belts is the metal binder clips. I keep 5 of them clipped on the inside of my cart and if I run according needing to clip a timing belt onto a cam pulley I have them. I used to have the small plastic clamps like you have but they broke within a year. Also the binder clips work great to clip a fender cover on and hold it in place while you work.

    I like to see that, you buy tools at the store is really cool, I have forgotten the sensation of the instant gratification of buying a tool you don't need yet. And I too will help you bring it back and I will start going to the stores around me to get my next tools ( whatever tool it may be )... I hope Sears overcome and stays open for business for ever.

    I hate those old square style Craftsman ratchets. I have them in 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2. The only time I use them is when I cant find my better ones. Before craftsman moved everything to China they had some premium chromed ratchets similar to the new ones. Those are by far my favorite standard ratchets. I find myself using the HF flex heads the most often now since they provide so much more leverage.

    • @mt1885
      @mt1885 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Them Toilet freight ratchets along with the remaining is 100% 🚽🚽🚽 material. The amount of TIME wasted on trash a fella can just buy the Matco 88 ratchets and be done. I fail to see any sense in that of course them Toilet ratchets are lifetime warranty one spends a lifetime win gas/time replacing them. Muchless the mechanism is reversed that is beyond 🧻🚽. I got the SAME ratchets for years have had them serviced see no point in having to waste time/money/gas chasing down trash.

    Justin, question on us general 44/56”. If a guy takes 6&12 point 1/4,3/8,&1/2 sae and metric, and place in the top drawer. It would be 300 sockets, how well would the slides hold up? How long have you had your series 2 and any issues?

    • @JustinDowDIYcentralhighway

      Depends on How much room you need now and how much room you'll need a year from now. How much do you want to spend and how much space you have available. Not sure it was the answer your looking for, but that's what I think about when I'm looking for a bigger Tool Storage option. Whether for at home us or Pro Use.
