S23 ultra is probably the best Android phone out there right now. But the op11 offers 90 percent of the same experience at almost half the price. 1- Tons of Bloatware, most can't be removed taking up resources and you're information/trojan horse. As bad as 50/70% as studies found. 2-Adds appear on you're main phone without data connected. 3-Can't unlocked the boot loader to flash you're device to another Os, Samsung locked it like iphone. 4-No charger you have to buy it extra!! Wtf !

If you can get the new s23 ultra for $600 when switching to google fi when porting a number in the US I'd try that. OnePlus is a good phone and you hit all the points correctly. Good review and comparison. Only real downside to the OnePlus is there are less third party cases but it's a good alternative for almost half the price. I really don't like coloros/oxygen os though either. The Oneplus is also on sale for the 256gb for $699 ($100 off). I switched from a s23 plus to oneplus 11r and this is my first oneplus. While benchmarks and reviews show that both have similar performance, oneplus is way smoother in real life. No frame drops no jerks. I was really frustrated with Samsungs heating issues. And there are some noticeable problems. For example, I always found it to lag for a few moments after unlocking before it picks up. Another issue was the quick settings. With notifications it will almost always have a jerky transition while sliding down. And the deal breaker was Google maps. I live in India and in the tropical climate here the Samsung heated excessively if you open the maps app on a sunny day and used navigation. I had to have it mounted on the Ac vent to have it stay under control. Definitely Samsungs one ui is more polished and oneplus still has silly bugs but oneplus gets the basics correct better than Samsung. And the charging is something that I never realized what a big deal it is. I never need to charge oneplus it more than 10 mins. It's such a big quality of life improvement!

Honestly, what oneplus has done with the oneplus 11 is very impressive. All these amazing spec with the price under 1000$. I love Samsung S23 Ultra but the price is just way too high. The only sad thing about oneplus 11 is that it doesn't has the wireless charger. which is not a big deal of course because the fast charging cable is doing absolutely incredible. Android is killing it at the moment. I've used iPhone for over 10 years now and still an apple fan boy but as of right now i am currently using oneplus 11 as my primary device and oppo find N2 flip 2. Having said that i'm still looking forward to the new 15 Pro Max especially knowing that they finally change to USB C. The lightning cable is frustratingly slow and so old fashion. the (big) problem with the Oneplus 11 is not the hardware but the software. Not about the current Oxygen/Color OS vs old Oxygen os fiasco. Color os is pretty decent. It's also not just the software bugs that come with their OS over time. Even Samsung / iPhones get bugs. What's bad is fixing those issues on time. Oneplus community forums are filled with users having lots of minor/major issues/bugs which are not being fixed for a pretty long time even after multiple updates. Slow bug fixes and not fixing a lot of bugs, that is their biggest problem.

Mm true but as someone who likes Samsung and sort of like iphone I’d say oneplus is a pretty good balance you still get snapdragon power for a lot less and arguably smoother since Samsung is a bit slower from one u.i

I left for Samsung s22 ultra from OnePlus 9 pro when color os rolled out. It was a disaster. OnePlus ALWAYS was about oxygen os, a clean android no bullshit. Then they threw that out to color os which is the same as any other bloatware bullshit android. I left.
Samsung is not much better. Lots of bullshit, lots of issues, touchscreen is much less fluid and less responsive. Samsung made me really miss oxygen os. Just from small things like you can't add an app to homescreen by dragging it, you have to long press, menu comes up- click add to homescreen, flip the homescreen to find the app, then drag it where you want it. Unorganized menu that's like a rabbit hole to descend down and other bullshit.
Updating brakes everything. It broke the OnePlus and broke the Samsung. I never updated anything since. They don't fix anything. They don't add features. They redesign and redesign and redesign icons to make more bullshit and justify them having jobs. Seriously the last big android update was picture in picture like 5 years ago. Nothing new since.
I'm rambling but my point is, OnePlus was king with oxygen os. Samsung was never kind with it's bullshit. Don't buy either.

I think this was a very important comparison. In fact, it's solidly demonstrates the difference between a flagship and a flagship killer. That is really what we're talking about here. Of course, with the Samsung you're going to get all the bells and whistles but, what if you don't need them? From my own personal perspective, it is $500 more for a bunch of fluffy features that I would never use. In addition, with the exception of the gen2 processor it is just a rerun of last year's s22.
I chose the OnePlus 11 which hit my doorstep yesterday. I just purchased a 10 Pro a few weeks ago and was still within my return window for Amazon so, I sent it back. Strictly speaking, I thought the 10 Pro was an amazing phone but, this phone look like something special. In addition, I was able to purchase it for about $170 cheaper than the 10 Pro. In fact, I was able to purchase the 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage for the same price as the entry model; $699.99. apparently, it was on sale the day I purchased it.
I want to touch on a feature that the OnePlus 11 has that the Samsung Galaxy s 23 ultra can't touch. Specifically, I'm talking about virtual ram. While the 16GB version that I purchased is powerful, the ram can be extended to 12 GB more for a total of 28 GB via virtual ram. In the settings menu under about phone, if you tap on RAM it will give you the option to extend the ram either 4, 8 or 12 GB virtually. The extra ram is borrowed from the ROM and reassigned as RAM. That is speed that the Samsung just can't match. Combine that feature with features like dual SIM card ability and 80 watt fast charging and you have some truly unique functions that the Samsung just can't touch. A flagship phone like the Samsung will give you a variety of features but, a flagship killer will concentrate on power. Combine that with high-end build quality and sell it at a lower price and you will have an amazing value.

I received mine a few days ago and I absolutely love it.
You are quite correct, OnePlus phones don't throttle the way that Samsung's or Google pixels do. They're all about speed and performance. I daresay, you would be hard-pressed to find a phone that run smoother than a oneplus.

      @dr.fitprofessor1970 ปีที่แล้ว

@@robmalcolm8042 again, you are quite correct about the processor in the pixel. Frankly, exynos processors tend to run hot and bleed a lot of power unnecessarily. As far as OnePlus is concerned, I really feel that with the exception of the 10t that they developed a lot of good devices over the last few years. However, it really isn't what their fanbase wanted and it was certainly not at the price they were willing to pay. Although, I was kind of the exception to that rule. LOL.
Actually, I purchase a 10 Pro back in early January and I decided to return it and pre-order the 11. After using it the past few days, I am convinced that I made a good decision. Don't get me wrong, I feel the 10 Pro was an amazing phone but, I just couldn't pass the 11 up. Especially, since I was able to order it about $170 cheaper than attend Pro. As a person who is on the move a LOT I do a lot of charging in my vehicle.
Here's the issue I had. The charging in the vehicle is wonky at best. Some times I'd get regular charge, 3+ hours to charge, sometimes I'd get faster charging 1-1.5 hrs, and occasionally I'd get the insane speeds charging. Overall, it was painful trying to get it to do a constant charge.
I could but get a bonified 1+ car charger because they were consistently out of stock. I tried a what was suoposed to be a 1+ car charger, but none of them gave me the high speed charge. I also used the 1+ usb cord, but still had issues.
Aside from the proprietary charging, i LOVE the phones.
Most don't even worry or think about the car charger part, they only worry about the wall charger.

I think the biggest scam in the industry is that manufacturers started giving us way less features for the same/if not more money. The SD card isn't there anymore so that they can upcharge us significantly for more storage. A Samsung micro SD card starts around $25 for 256GB but the upgrade from 256 to 512 for the S23 Ultra is $180. Sure, you get the extra RAM but RAM is cheap.
No IR blaster? I know Android TVs are becoming way more common, but c'mon, not everyone has one and it's so convenient to use your remote for different devices all from your phone.
I get it, Samsung puts just about the most robust feature set into their to model phone, but I'd also really appreciate if they didn't nerf the smaller Galaxy S models. I don't want, nor need the S Pen and hate the sharper corners and curved screen, but I have to take a dramatic drop off in specs for only $200 less in the S23+. No LTPO screen, no 200MP camera, no option for 12GB of RAM and a few other things I may be missing, but it's frustrating. There's only a $100 difference between the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max in the US and the difference in feature set is much smaller, basically screen size and battery size except for some very minor things.
Sorry for the rant, just frustrated with this stuff, and the fact that we've, for the most part, accepted less for our money over time.

Dealbreakers for the OP 11 are:
    no IP rating
    no wireless charge
USB C port is 2.0 instead of 3.0 (mind blowing that a new 2023 phone has such an old technology and port. This is unacceptable if transferring files from PC is something important for you.)
My oneplus 8 pro from 2019 has all three of these features (ip68, wireless charge, USB 3.1) so there is no way I would spend so much on a new phone to have worse features than what I got on my phone from 3 years ago. Oh, and my oneplus 8 pro also charges up to 100 in around half an hour.
Basically if these features don't matter to you, then sure go for the OP 11, but saying the phones are in the same league is simply not true. Also, it remains to be seen how well the OP 11 stands up to Jerryrigeverything's durability test. The 10 and 10T performed horribly and were so poorly designed that they snapped in half.

Idc if the price is more for me its worth it. Just getting what you want and like most makes it worth it to me. I was pretty dissapointed in the back step that one plus took in color and display overall. They wrre able to compete with samsungs display just a few years ago. This time you can see where they cut corners to cut cost. They hsve a great processor so if the screen isnt an issue for it then go for jt. But i remember when one plus had almost more color and brightness then samsung did and for less while still performing equally as good. Thats when i was like ok this thing is amazing. But after seeing the display in person side by side the samsung I was like damnit. Because it was an option for me until I saw that. But its about what matters to you most so go with what you like.

Unfortunately, over the past several years Oneplus has proven to have absolutely horrible track record when it comes to updates, fixing bugs etc.
I bought OP 9 Pro and I have the infamous "media storage" bug, where the media files take 2x space they should, because with every new media file like a photo/video the size of the MediaStorage system app also grows. It's currently taking 100gb out of 256 and Oneplus hasn't fixed it for the past 2 years and multiple system/Android updates.

    OnePlus 11 has dual SIM!
I’ve used OP for 7 years and S22U for almost a year. I’m a fan of both but I changed brand when OP dropped the dual SIM. S22U has the eSIM disaster that we’ve already seen. My OP7 has my other SIM.
