Now I understand what Hogan is saying in his book about the left hip in the downswing..... amazing how technology such as torques force today is transcending to better golfers
THAT was great. This is the only video that comes close to linking a bunch of symptoms to the same miss I have. Can’t wait to tinker and see if it can help me too. Thx guys.
I may have missed it, but why was he strengthening his grip when he was hitting it left? Great stuff. I think the swing catalyst data is so helpful to a player.
@BrianM and @ZachT - For me, I have a neutral grip which “allows” me to flip my wrists on the down swing. That contributes to the hard draw/hook. I had done it for so many years that when I finally learned to keep the club face closed consistently, I still end up flipping a little and therefore creating more side spin. If I strengthen the grip, I can load my wrists on the takeaway and then keep my wrists “quiet” on the downswing. What this video showed me though is that even if I strengthen my grip, keep my wrists quiet and have a healthy swing path, I might still get a strong draw if I am “sliding” horizontally with my hips rather than turning my hips (that’s the torque in the video.) I THiNK the sliding horizontally is stopping me from turning my hips fully which causes my arms to “wrap” around my body on the downswing which (along with the wrist flipping) contribute to the overly strong draw. Whew that was a lot. I can play a good round with that strong draw but not only do I have to figure how far right of the flag I have to aim, I also get wayward pushes.
They should make a golf shot sound cancelling speaker 🔊 that emits a replica sound to instantly mute the sound of the hit in a garage or indoors. Do able, but not but me 😂
@@BEBETTERGOLF You're referring to Salted insoles? Was the data not accurate or consistent or was the app buggy? Curious to know why you weren't impressed.
Hi Brendon How to make a good golfer worse. When Vinny said he used the pressure from his weight on his trail side foot to kick off his downswing under Newton’s law the pressure was immediately changed to his lead foot and his connection of club to ball was spot on. Vincent used ground action and reaction force (GARF) perfectly as he immediately simultaneously transferred his weight from his trail foot to his lead foot.. So my question to the Doc is why mess with perfection and mess with Newton’s law for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction? GRF is ambiguous and needs to be correctly stated under Newton’s 3rd law as GARF. Then it can be taught for anyone to use and quickly understand to do. As far as GARF goes simply: press left foot lateral right and then faster and harder press right foot lateral left. Leftpress /Rightpress This is all one needs to know for a perfectly balanced swing and spot on connection to the ball. The rest is supposed intellectual BS Cheers
If you look at the red edge of the net (right above his head), he is actually going a bit down and doesn't come up until after the strike. At least that's what I see.
Vinny has a little hop move where he hops of the front foot in transition. For a split second he is almost 100 percent on the rear foot. I’m gonna ask Dana about that fall move
One of your best ....................great job BBG
Love when I feel like I’m getting too stacked but really I’m like 45 and 50 that’s when I have the most effortless distance.
Nice video

@@brianm.9069 yeah I’d think stronger grip would just close the face more

Great content B. Very interesting!
Great video. Your mate has a great swing. The hit/impact sounds like a gun shot. Keep up the good work mate.

Have you seen the ground force shoe insoles B? What do you think of those? Immediately thought of you when I saw them.
Saw them. I’d had to try them but I not really impressed from what I saw TBH

I can’t wait to see you in the UK with Marcus.
Spring time I’m hoping to visit Marcus and Bertie
very cool
Thx Stu
Another great Canadian bio-mechanist helping advance the game.
Stephane Gauthier 🏒
Never thought of the lead leg pushing down on the back swing would keep centered good stuff B
Great content B. 👍
Did he hit any blocks/pushes? Would it help to open the face a little at address?
Never. Hit the same shot again and again. Started straight then overdrew. Path was down to about 4.2 in to out. Had face too closed to make that work
So no double cross? Club face is closed to path i.e. my suggestion to open face. Or simply aim to the right.
What am I missing?
luv the video and the wendel clark jersey !! are you leaf fan? where do you live?
He is a Toronto boy, currently working and living in California
@@rp6163 thx for the reply
Is Dr. Scott available for lessons?

Go Leafs!
More GRF. More Dr Scott
You live in Canada or just a leafs fan
Dr Scott is Canadian
Sorry to hear he's a Leafs fan.
@@BEBETTERGOLF is the garage in canada??
Vinny gets crazy high clubhead speed for a 7-iron. I think the PGA average is 90mph. He's at 97 with a bunch of new swing thoughts in his head!
Are you THE Chris baker , the Hoosier that waves by little old ladies on the golf course who are walking their dogs during PGA tournaments😀
@@zlthomps11 Ha, I wish. THAT Chris Baker would have to give me at least 4 a side!
I wonder how this would work a cable machine and a stick at the gym!?
Oh no a maple leaf fan. This can't be dr scott.
He's standing up ..he has to stay down.. power through with the hip bend .. he'll hit it straighter

Why the background radio
People talking in the alley I think.
Looks like he could have used a bunch of Josh Koch/Dana counter fall to get his pressure off the right foot and into his left foot sooner.

@@BEBETTERGOLF great video. Yeah, would love to see more info on the Dana fall move. Big gains from the videos I've seen.
Okay, the dude is hitting a 7 iron 193 yards and your fixing his hip rotation? I suppose its not all about distance.
Hitting it consistently left and he is telling him to strengthen his grip ??????
Sorry, I don't speak Canadian, so some of it was lost in translation.
