Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant to watch this interview with one of the worlds best bass guitarist, I had the great fortune to see inxs live at the old Wembley 1991 and at Brixton academy 1994, truely one of the worlds greatest rock bands, I thank you all INXS, 👍
Glad I saw them live three times here in the U.S. INXS and Duran Duran are my two favorite bands. Thanks for sharing some great memories Gary. He's awesome bass player. Don't stop playing.

Gday Garry.....thx for all the years of awesome Basslines. Guess what? i practice and play - I have no TV......and im nailing 'Just Keep Walking' hope ur well Sir.
I've always liked Gary. He seemed to be happy with himself and his role in INXS. A couple of the other band members came across as envious of Michael's popularity with the fans imo.
Compared to all the other late 70s/80s bands INXS had such an incredible discography that no one out of Australia probably talks about Each album was so full of hits Of the 80s bands it is INXS and U2 that you can compare to the Beatles with how good their albums are from start to finish Had INXS been American or even British they would have been considered the best band in the world from 1983 to 1993
Recorded at Hilton Hotel at NAMM Show and yes there was a pipe band warming up down the corridor in preparation for the annual NAMM Tribute to those who had passed in previous 12 months
It's too bad that the surviving members of INXS cannot find a new singer and start an entirely new band...new songs...new name...same world class musicians...
They should've carried on with just the 5. Michael could never be replaced, so go with who's left! Kirk was a fantastic back up for Michael, and has a very good voice too. Jon and Garry are one of the best Drum/Bass duos in the world. Their funk dance and Motown influence are priceless!

I grew up in Sydney and INXS was a big part of the soundtrack of my teenage years 😻🎶😎
Awesome! Mr. Beers carries himself beautifully in music and conversation.
INXS= LEGENDS
He was a great bass player. The Swing’s production and his work was AMAZING!

To Look At You was a masterpiece of early 80s new wave produced by Mark Opitz 1983.
Just yesterday. I wonder what Gary is up to...and in my feed today....this. Awesome

I agree with the Tall Poppy comments. If INXS was an American Band there would be High Schools named after them..

Where was this Interview recorded? I'm asking because I have the feeling that there are bagpipes playing in the background from a distance.
Recorded at Hilton Hotel at NAMM Show and yes there was a pipe band warming up down the corridor in preparation for the annual NAMM Tribute to those who had passed in previous 12 months
@@AustralianMusician thank you very much, that is a great idea
Good call- it was at NAMM earlier this year- there were bagpipers practicing outside the interview room .. G
❤
Yes you all did and do matter

I agree, but the lost finger might be a problem
Garry Beers & Jon Farriss are not unlike Leland Sklar & Russ Kunkel
- two rhythm sections made in rhythm section utopia!
whats with the hair ??
Heres a tip.....get the audio right!
That weird moment when Garry takes off his glasses.
Every bands start for having fun til some of them make it $$$$ and the fame stars to do its thing
