Texas was the best team in the country in both 2008 and 2009. Shows you how hard it is to win a championship and makes Saban’s run look even more amazing. So great to finally have Texas back amongst the elite. That 2010 Rose Bowl destroyed the program for over a decade.
We definitely would have won the game.We were down 24-21 with 3 minutes left with the ball.. With a true freshman who hadn't played all season.. If our 4 year starter doesn't get hurt. We beat them by at least two touchdowns.

Hey Greg, I liked the comments Nick Saben had last weekend about kids on some teams taking a flop on the field. Some suggested to make the player sit out for the series but coaches are smart, and they will just put in a 2nd or 3rd teamer to flop because they are not really needed like a starter would be. My suggestion is: No other player can be substituted except the player that is claiming to be hurt. I think to make a flop look less desirable to them is when a kid claiming to be hurt and lays down (Offence & Defense) has to go to the hash on the side of the field opposite of their bench 20 yards back from each side of the line of scrimmage, and all coaches have to remove their headsets and stand where they are and not talk. The guys giving signs on the sidelines has to stand still with their hands in their pockets and their signal cards on the ground, and no one on either side can communicate with their team on the field at all, (Enforcement tool: the cameras watch the entire sidelines from the booth and if caught put some teeth in to it like the head coach is removed from that game and fined $50k. All of this effort to remove all undue communication with their team on the field and reduce the advantage they are trying to gain. You just have to make it less valuable to them and they will not do it as much. I am sure they will still do it just to give the coaches time to think in a tight spot but short of judging if it is a real injury I think this is a good start of helping reduce the occurrence of the issue. Medical staff should be the only ones moving once someone flops. A more realistic punishment, if they are caught breaking the rules ...at least a 15-yard penalty and the opposing coach gets a choice of adding or removing 30 seconds from the clock. Tell these coaches, not naming names to put that in their pipe and smoke it and lets the game is back to being played more like it should be. Roll Tide!!
I was at the game. Texas was starting to roll when Colt got injured. I feel Texas would’ve won but we will never know. Both hosts of this video are about as classy as they come; exemplary sportsmen.
