Good morning. I would suggest you get a wide length of fabric first and smock it up and than you draw out your basic bodice afterwards. Remember when you are smocking the fabric it will vary on how large or small the design you are using. It also depends on your own measurements. So smock up the area around the front first. Then draw your basic bodice on paper and trace it around the smocked area Best

What is the shrinkage to be considered?
It does shrink so I suggest using 3 to four times the measurements you desire
