Aside from comercially available, there is also the one that moves a small bead around with ultrasonic sound to draw a 3d image.

I actually love how it’s just imperfect enough to slightly fragment the image. Especially when something us moving.

That's just the frame rate of the camera not syncing perfectly with the display. In real life there would be no visible artefacts, just a perfect floating image
Putting it in a clear circular case would help with turbulence and prevent injuries. Awesome stuff.

Looks pretty. And has the added benefit of only being 17.6 times more wasteful of energy than a flat array of LEDs. But hey, all you need do is mould the arms with a tiny aerofoil blade and it will push enough air to cool its own motor and provide good convection to the room like an old-fashioned ceiling fan...

(I imagine this display also adds a substantial amount of turbulent airflow, that could create an uncomfortable sensation of air draft.)

Putting entire thing in a case and removing the air would reduce noise and vastly improve the safety of the device..

Well, you could still see what is behind the screen.
And a round screen is ideal for horizontal AND vertical screen, for TH-cam and tiktok videos, not like a traditional home TV.

I think if you put that device in a vacuum it would possibly consume much less energy and be less noisey but I absolutely love this concept and I think it could be the future
