This is over 50 years of fishing and tying fishing knots Went from only monofilament lines like Stren then Tylene then Stren 14/40 oval shsped baitcasting only mono line to the first super-braids to Tylene Fireline to co-polymer lines (YoZuri) to pure fluorocarbon lines to my current favorite braided line PowerPro Used the clinch then improved clinch then Tylene then Polymer knots then the Double Pitzen Always come back tothe Polymer knot for everything but the longest of my luers then I use a Tylene knot. Do not use monofilament any more at all Just Yo-Zuri co-polymer for most my needs Flourocabon for soft plastics and finesse and Power Pro braid when ever possible and Power Pro to fluorocarbon when ever possible Just never had any knot serve me better was more easy and mistake-proof to tie than the Polymer knot.

This is over 50 years of fishing and tying fishing knots
Went from only monofilament lines like Stren then Tylene then Stren 14/40 oval shsped baitcasting only mono line to the first super-braids to Tylene Fireline to co-polymer lines (YoZuri) to pure fluorocarbon lines to my current favorite braided line PowerPro
Used the clinch then improved clinch then Tylene then Polymer knots then the Double Pitzen
Always come back tothe Polymer knot for everything but the longest of my luers then I use a Tylene knot.
Do not use monofilament any more at all
Just Yo-Zuri co-polymer for most my needs Flourocabon for soft plastics and finesse and Power Pro braid when ever possible and Power Pro to fluorocarbon when ever possible
Just never had any knot serve me better was more easy and mistake-proof to tie than the Polymer knot.
