Ruth Codd never acted before? She was amazing as Anya. A lot of these young actors are new to industry but yet act like they have years of experience. I really hope there is a season 2.

Hello, fan of the show here! I had no idea what to expect when I hit play on episode 1 of this show. It kinda seemed like the trailer was leaning twords this supernatural thriller type beat so I went in blind yet open minded. SO GLAD I GAVE IT A CHANCE! The acting is on point, I absolutely love all the characters, great story, amazing sets, and the way they used storytelling inside of storytelling was unique and fun and the way the stories each character told came from the real emotions and experiences of the characters was such a real life touch! After all, the advice is always write what you know. Fantastic touch. I guess to sum up, I came for the thrills and mystery and most definitely stayed for the friendships, the deep emotional connection they all cultivate throughout the show with each other, and the way the show dealt with how death and terminal illness effects lives. Just...bravo all around! A masterpiece.
Mike Flanagan sets a high standard, all of his work is too good, most might say it's the worst show he has directed but it's probably on par with Bly Manor imo. Hill House and Midnight Mass are still easily above to me but it was still extremely good, and it pains me to see it getting so much hate.
@@Phals literally! I don‘t understand the hate. Yes obviously it‘s rather directed to teens but this SERIES IS GOOD! It‘s so beautifully made and the story behind it is so magnificent. Especially knowing all of them will be gone at the end is adding such a twist to the entire end. I don‘t understand why people hate it so much.
I hate how netflix always cancel shows that have so much potential. However mike has signed a deal with a different streaming service, so maybe we will get a season 2 there. Edit: nvm, just saw mikes blog post :( season 2 was going to be so good but so heartbreaking
This cast is extremely likeable, every single one of them. I genuinely felt like I have lost some dear friends when the show was over. I absolutely love it.

This show was trully a roller coster ans so freaking emotional damn i loved the story inside the strory and the mystery throughout that keep everything rooted
One of the most amazing series I have ever watched. OK, it was branded as horror / thriller. But it was it's "humanity" that shone through. Life is fleeting, make every moment count, because we don't know what tomorrow shall bring. Massive respect to the actors and production crew.

My burning questions were all the unresolved plot lines. If there's going to be another season, then cool, fine, that's great... but if not, what the hell? lol
It was cancelled on Netflix bc Mike Flanagan left Netflix for a new deal with Amazon Prime. He did say back in like Oct that it was meant to go on and that if Netflix didn't pick it up he would answer all the big questions people had on Twitter. I'm hoping maybe he'll continue it on Prime.
