The area looks too much like where I live now in Texas. Looking for a less subdivision type of feel. Maryville looks so charming. Thanks for the video, helps people like me relocating to the Knoxville area.

Thanks for the comment. I will make another soon that's 15 miles and goes into more neighborhoods. If you have never been to Farragut, it really is a nice place to live.

We are looking to move to east /north east TN. We also ride bicycles and I like racing and driving on curvy roads lol. What other areas you recommend for walking, cycling and driving to curvy roads (the dragon, cherohala?) We just came back to FL from a 2 week trip to the tri cities. Besides Fort West in Farragut?

I have a video somewhere on my channel. I think it’s called drive series or something like that. That’s highway 95 from Lenoir City to Oak Ridge. I love driving that road. No great views but lots of twisty’s. Honestly, not a fan of the Dragon. Too many idiots. As for walking and cycling, the greenways in Farragut are legit and continue to expand. I don’t know much about the areas north and east of downtown Knoxville but downtown at Ijams has great trails. Also, Google Knoxville Urban Wilderness. That’s in south Knoxville. Miles and miles of trails. The Smoky’s have great hiking trails. Middle Prong Trail being my favorite. There’s a hidden 3 level waterfall towards the top that’s awesome. Good luck with your move.

what is the most popular age group that live there do you think?

Farragut is an upscale area of Knoxville. I would say the average age is 50 to 55 but I have no data to prove that. Just an assumption from what I see.

I went out and found this trail last weekend. Such a peaceful area. We probably just walked for 2 miles, it was pretty chilly can't wait to go back when it warms up.

this is like one of the regular routes i go when i bike around with my friends!! thank you for posting this, do you have a 15 mile one??

I have a 15 mile loop that's similar to this one. When Covid started, the greenways were packed so the 15 mile loop is less greenway and more neighborhoods. I'll make a video of it one day soon. Thanks for the comment!

Hi, do you have a map of this you can share? Thanks!

Sorry for the late response. I don’t have a map. I will check Strava to see if I recorded that ride. If I did, I will have a map but not sure I can post it here. It’s pretty simple though. It started and ended at the west end of Broken Saddle Rd in Fort West subdivision.

Okay, so we both own a 370Z and we cycle. We have some nice rides here in Fort Worth, TX but nothing quite as scenic as your area. Well, I'm off to do a quick 30, watch today's TDF race, and then who knows what. Oh yeah, where's the money shot - a pic of your bike?

LOL...I was gong to make a day in the life video and the had good footage of the bike. When I was editing I was thinking, who would even watch this? So I never uploaded it. Should have another bike coming soon and I will include a shot of the bike. The parts of TX I have been to were nice and flat. Would love to ride somewhere flat for a few days. Everything here is a hill.

Lol...it wasn't like I was riding slow. Besides, I don't remember a skunk or a swan in the Bahamas video so at least I have that.

Hi Rebekah, I don't have a map of this unfortunately. I go a 15 mile route now using a lot of the same pathways and roads that I map on Strava. I will do the route in the video one day again soon and post that map.
