I almost can't look at Green Stuff World's stuff because I have minimal self-control and I'd end up broke AF.

for a much lower cost, you can buy UV resin for 3d printers, its the exact same thing, but much much cheaper

You could use a purple balloon to make the shield to give it that slight color!

I bought some just to try it out. It's really cool but at 18$CAD for a 1oz bottle it's prohibitively restricted to tiny effects or ones necessitating the fast curing time.

That’s cool stuff. Like the shield of force idea

At 2:35 you can see smoke come off the resin. So I would be careful with the UV exposure time.

The lime green would be great for lightsabers or blaster bolts

I bought some green stuff the other day but haven't played with it yet. Gonna use it to modify one of my b1 commanders and add detail stuff to custom terrain

Did you try making force lightning? Or try using a blue balloon to get a the shield effect

When you use your Resin, did you find it to be sticky to the touch at all? Mine just wont seem to cure no matter what I do!

    • @Crabbok
      @Crabbok  4 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes. I eventually sprayed it with a matte varnish and that did the trick.

These little uv lamps aren't really strong enough to cure resin fully. A stronger lamp should really help, otherwise you can wipe it down with isopropyl alcohol, but that can make it more matte.

That clear resin looks heaps easier to use for water effects than Woodlands Scenics stuff.

Just got both the clear and green, but especially the clear one seems to stay sticky :( Do you know of a similar product that doesn't come out sticky?

Kinda cool. Trying to think of uses I would have for it. I'll definitely keep this in mind though.

if the resin pulls the color off the balloon, why not use the clear resin with a dark blue balloon for nice shielding effects

Well I only had red balloons on hand.... heh!

I plan to mix some clear UV resin and red ink, cure and shape it to a beam for Marvel Crisis Protocol Cyclops.

Lol - commented too early :) You could use a red one to for laser balsts going in/out of the sheild
