Shortly after David Carr beat Alex Facundo, Ben Askren said Alex would never win an NCAA title if he can’t get off bottom. Well, the reigning champ couldn’t get off bottom versus David Carr. So based on Ben’s logic Keegan isn’t winning another title. Let’s just admit David Carr is a hammer on top rather than saying if David rides you you’re not winning a title.

This is not mutually exclusive. Carr IS a hammer on top AND Facundo ,or anyone else, isn't winning a title IF they can't get away...odd the amount of potshots taken at Askren because of a few things he says out of like 3-4 hours of talking wrestling a week. You know how much dumb shit you say in 3-4 hours of talking? Probably a ton.lmao.

Keegan / Carr GREAT match up, NCAA wrestling needs this , both phenom > NCAA championship at stake but others ready & able to play upset > Hamiti, Amine and others who are in it to win it.
The Carr Ramirez match was much much closer than the score shows. He did take Carr down and it was 8-5 with a couple seconds left and Ramirez just stood there to shake and Carr dove in for a takedown making it 10-5

Amazing how when these guys have a favorite, their favorite will get 'em next time. Not the case when it's a non-favorite.
He coached the kid for years, get over yourself. He should care. He doesnt live through his athletes. Maybe your unaware but hes had a mildly successful life of his own.
