Thanks Mike. Mondi is independent in some areas, but shows his bias towards the ANC, specifically in Tshwane, & I got the distinct impression that it was linked (naturally) to the colour of Cilliers’ skin & not his ability or track record of running The municipality. His skewed views on the NHI & Bela bill are neither rational nor measured & I’d love to know what his opinion was of why the ANC have not built or maintained decent schools or hospitals in the last 30 years for which millions & millions were allocated from the fiscus.

I always read Mondli Makhanya's columns in the Sunday Times whenever I do lay my hands on that paper, which is very rarely, however I must say that in this interview, his analyses are extremely weak. I am totally disappointed in him.

We need an education system that cater for the needs of learners ... not for the needs of politicians.
In all civilized countries the education system apply the principle of DIFFERENTIATED education.
Differentiated education accommodate the needs and abilities of diverse learners and communities.
Parents remain the principal educator of their children and must always give their consent to the ethos and type of education (Christian) the school provide to their children.
The ANC doesn't own our children OR our schools!

We need to retain the governing body's in schools, bring in a gov. member or member of the dept. of education! so gov. and the dept. of education can learn something! Gov. school that still have governing bodies are the only schools that have not failed dismally, and have been hollowed out.

Ohh Mike this Mondli is fake, he's getting good salary money, for 3 yrs we didn't have increase for 3 yrs, 12% it's what real nothing compared to the crumbs we're earning, we seat with above 65 learners per class then u said Afrikaans school enrollment will increase from 35 learners per classroom while we seat with 65 kids in the classroom
