- In Thailand, you will hear the Thai national anthem played every day at 8am and 6pm. Every TV and radio station plays it, and it will be played over government building speaker systems, at the sky train and underground in Bangkok, bus stations, in parks and in most other public places.
Thai schools also play the national anthem every morning at 8am. All students are expected to attend and to sing the national anthem, and two students will raise the Thai flag up the school's flag pole.
I'm in Thailand right now, 1 minute ago the National Anthem was played. Ofcourse I standed up to pay respect.
The first time I experienced hearing the Thai anthem was in Chiang Mai. Without knowing the words, I could feel the spirit in my heart. It was very moving.
Thailand’s weightlifting is amazing!!! Thai players got a lot of medals in Rio.

I lived in Thailand for 2 months, and its really fascinating saw the people of Thai to actually stand up during the Thai anthem break every 18.00 PM, I also tried to blend with them, hence I already could sing the anthem perfectly, I did that in front of my Thai friends, so glad that I used to be one of Thai people. Sorry to be a Busy Body but Thai descent as in Orang Siam Kedah or your Mother's family came from Pattani/Yala(those Malay Muslim Districts of Southern Thailand).
Thai from nakhon si thammarat, not siamese malay. Even siamese malays are thai citizens so it still applies.

Partially true, effectively during World War 2 they were taken over by the Japanese. Not colonized per say, but ruled by Japan nonetheless

Then in December 8, 1941, we was invaded by the japanese empire that has a plan to colonize all asian countries that has a same or relativity culture to make a empire the (greater east asian and co
