    How can people disrespect this man and say he's always looking for stars and shit? It's been him against the rest of the league for so long. No need to be a fan to see that.

      In LeBron's 3 wins against the 2008 Celtics he had 24.7 ppg 7.7 rpg 9.0 apg on 35.6% and 4.7 TOpg, very sub-par for his standards. LeBron shot under 40% in all 3 of the Cavalier wins. For the series, LeBron's teammates shot 149/344 (43.3%) whereas LeBron shot 55/155 (35.5%). LeBron had more than enough help to get the job done in this series, especially with the Celtics scoring under 100 in all 7 games (84 ppg for the series) after averaging 100 for the season, but still failed.

      +Anon Ymous numbers can be very misleading. take into account how many of his teammates fgs were assisted on? how many were because of doubles on lebron? actually watching the games proved lebron didn't have enough help because the Celtics were able to clamp on lebron with multiple defenders and no one took the pressure off lebron

      +Anon Ymous LeBron averaged 9 apg. Now lets apply that math. 9 x 7 = 63. 149 - 63 = 86. LeBron's teammates shot 86/344 (25%) without LeBron assisting them...Sounds like the help you need to win to me.

      Batman Wayne #FAX
      If he had like another superstar that can either be a center or SG. If it's a SG superstar or even an off ball PG. If it was a guard then he can drive and kick a lot to them and they can help a lot in the clutch. And if it's a superstar center(maybe Dwight) then he can set picks and go for lone and play that D. Dwight back then would've fit perfectly with Lebron. Lebron could've easily averaged a triple double in Cleveland if he had teammates that can score more. Mo Williams was a nice like 78 OVR and Varejao was a nice 77 for that team lol. Lebron was a nice 99

    When Michael Jordan left the Bulls back in 94, the Bulls still won 55 games. When Lebron James left Cleveland they went from 66 and 61 wins to 19 wins. People don't realise how incredible Lebron is. His 2016 finals win consisted of this (Come back from 3-1 down in the finals, against a HISTORIC 73-9 win team, G.S. Warriors didnt lose back to back for over 2 YEARS, Lebron beat them 3 GAMES IN A ROW, Warriors lost twice at home ALL SEASON, the Cavs beat them twice in game 6 and 7 IN G.S.
    Lebron lead BOTH teams in Points, Rebounds, Assists, Steals and Blocks in the 2016 finals. Something that will NEVER be done again, unless by him.

      So we gonna ignore that in 10-11 the Cavs fired Mike Brown the guy responsible for the Cavs becoming a great defense? We gonna ignore the Cavs lost other contributors like their 4th leading scorer in Shaq? Mo Williams got hurt and traded? Antwan Jamison got hurt & missed game's? Delonte West who was a decent role player left. Big Z their backup center also left. Baron Davis who they got from the Mo Williams trade got hurt. Anderson Varejao got hurt and missed game's. Crazy how LeBron fan's never bring this up. The Cavs were injured and went into rebuild mode. The Bulls without Jordan in 93-94 were 3x champion's and only lost Jordan. They went from champions to losing in the 2nd round. To barely being in playoff contention the very next year.

      @Matthew Tuccaro He had a terrible FG% because he had to take shot after shot. Why? Cause his teammates were bums. How does he get carried offensively when no one else on his team even put up more than 12 PPG? He also had the most steals and blocks than both teams, so he was contributing on the defensive end too. +Marc Saenz there are 100 better ways to say that the cavs did not have a good supporting cast. You are talking about a lineup that just had people subbed in players with minimal points, like Wally s. Just mentioning that Wally was on the team would have been good enough, instead, some obscure reference about the lineup on the floor at a certain point in the game

    • @jtors5
      @jtors5 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +Marc Saenz actually you weren't right. The original comment said "double the points of the rest of the team combined" and you tried to change it to "lineup" to cover yourself. It's an obscure reference, it's easier to just say "Lebron scored nearly half of the team's points" instead of "double the lineup at one point in the game after substitutions."

    People always say LeBron choked this series cause he shot horribly and had too many turnovers. But he took the BIG 3 to 7 games, and even when he had game where he shot so poorly, he still had the assists and rebounds, and some defensive plays. He was just fucking 23 years old, leading an average players to the ECF and the Finals the year before this, he wasn't even in his prime. And many will say that he had enough help. No, he did not! The reason why his members get to be better was because LeBron run's the offence, and will give an assist. Those players cannot score on their own most of the time. The BIG 3 double and triple teamed LeBron but still pushed them to their limits. LeBron really is underrated until now, many hate this guy for his greatness that no one can ever have.

    • @kaocsaephan
      @kaocsaephan 8 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      First of all, LeBron was 23 years old in 2008 and had been in the league for 5 years. Which player drafted in 2010 would be able to beat the 2008 Celtics five years into the league and without a talented team? Heck, even Durant/Westbrook/Ibaka today wouldn't be able to beat that 2008 Celtics squad, and they are in their primes and have been playing together since they started.
      Second, the entire series was defense-oriented. Five out of the seven games, the Celtics shot 42% or less, and that's a team with three all-stars. The Cavs had LBJ. No one said the series would come down to Delonte West or Wally Szczerbiak. While 35.5% for 26.7/7.6/6.4 isn't great, if you consider PP shot 40% and Ray Allen shot 33%, it isn't disastrous either.
      Again, list the top players from the best teams in 2008, including the Cavaliers. Which team would trade their second or third option for the guys on the Cavaliers? This is not very hard to do. Unless you're saying that LBJ doesn't need good teammates because he almost won without good teammates. Is that the argument you're making?

    • @AnonYmous-gj1hw
      @AnonYmous-gj1hw 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      you are going off of name value and not production. production wise LeBron had enough help to win the series from his team as a whole, the sum being greater than the individual parts as single pieces dont always define a supporting cast
      he even shot under 40% in all 3 of the Cavs wins. this notion that he had absolutely no help and carried the team by himself against the Celtics is false.
      even in Game 1 Lebron shot 2/18 with 10 turnovers and still had a chance to send it to OT but missed the game-tying shot. that would not be possible if he didnt have help from the team as a collective unit
      Ben Wallace was also huge off the bench on defense in the series, especially his defense in Game 7 which is on youtube and was a big reason they stayed in the series.
      35.5% with 5+ TOpg is definitely disastrous, as is Ray Allen and Pierce's prodcuton going agaisnt the Cavs defense which kept LeBron in the series
      many people would have been able to beat the Celtics in those shoes, especially considering the Celtics went 7 games with a 37-win Hawks team in the previous round
      and LeBron only beat one 50-win team in his entire first run in Cleveland, the 2007 Pistons with no 4x DPOY Ben Wallace and no Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown. Every other team he beat had under 50 wins
      so LeBron never beat an elite playoff team with his first Cleveland team, making his supposed ability to carry Cleveland a false perception, as he only beat weak playoff teams with them and lost to all the elite playoff teams he played. the best team he beat pre-Miami was a washed up Pistons team without 2 of their key pieces

    The thing that confirms to me that Lebron is a threat to Jordan’s legacy;
    I watch Jordan vids all the time and read the comments. I never once have seen anyone try to tear down his GOOD performances. Lebron is the only player where even when he plays well, it’s not cause of him. He can’t have teammates, he has to take the last shot regardless of being double/triple teamed. He has to average 33 points a game on all jumpshots and post fades and has to guard the best player. He has to be Jordan even though he literally can’t because their games are diametrically opposed to each other (Jordan was a 2 way iso scorer, Lebron more of a Playmaking wing). There is more than one way to be great and Jordan fans can’t seem to accept that.
