You can also cut the sharpie apart, sink the ink cartridge into a cup of rubbing alcohol and let it soak overnight to create a sprayable dye. (Saw this technique on a doll site recently)

Be careful to read on you alcohol bottle and make sure it doesn't contain Acetone Because it will melt the hair of your wig if it's made with nylon.

Acetone is also in some of the fingernail polish removers.

I believe fabric dyes for synthetics stick to arda fibers too, I haven't tried but it might be worth a try if you ever wanna tint a whole one.

How many coats of marker do you usually put on a wig to get the best color?
Could you use this method for faux fur? What happens if it gets wet? Or would you seal it?
Anyone know what to use for sealer since PYM II is not being made anymore?
What did or do you look like with your blue/blond wig on??
Can you seal the sharpie color into the wig? Or will the color run onto your face if you start to sweat?
but can you use a white or light yellow sharpie on a mousy color wig to do highlights? anyone?

Did you have any issues with the sharpie bleeding ? I want to try this method but I read if you don’t rinse the hair after it until it runs clear it can bleed
It wont bleed itll fade a tad bit but in my opinion it makes it very natural looking. I do this with all my synthetic wigs
Will the alcohol inks wash out when you wash the wig?
It is likely there will be some wash out, but I'm not going to be washing this wig very frequently (its going to end up very heavily styled) but I'll be sure to do updates on how durable it ends up being!

Arlyne Lauro I think you'd be better off with a real temporary hairdye... You know, like manic panic.
The alcohol that is in those markers is really bad for your hair.
I like this better than soaking sharpies Bc the smell 🤢
