If you want to install Cat6a in your Home Network you'll need to learn these 2 Cat6a installations! Thanks for watching! 😉

I have the same table mat with the world map. Oh and thanks for the information on installing. I was just curious how people do this.

It is about time I did this. I am assuming that these cables and connections are backwards compatible with older 1gb and 10/100 ports?

Yes backwards compatible! Thank you for watching Mike!

Wow, a cable's going to upgrade my network from gigabit to 10 gig, wow, that's amazing, does that mean I can just switch to cat8 and I'll have a 40 gig network. 😱
There was me thinking I needed to upgrade all the networking equipment, but the intro here proves me wrong. Amazin'

DON'T crush the cable like that just so you can have the jacket inside the jack! If you really want to, you can carefully make a couple incisions on the jacket to help, but in a home install it really isn't necessary. Wow even super cheap cables usually never skimp out enough to use all-white instead of the proper white+color, I'd suggest buying better quality cable than that. I'd advise against toolless keystones as the connections aren't great, even a little snag from an electrician trying to snake a wire could make things unstable.

I see you mention Cat 6a but we are in Australia and we’re at the end of the development supply chain so 6a has not reached this far south.

Your giving incorrect information. Cat6a (just like all other ethernet cables) cabling the white cables do have color strip on it for green/white, etc. Heck the link for the CAT6a you have even show pic of white cables with strip of color. 2nd, one shouldn't need to crush (which is not good) the outer housing for it to go into the RJ45 connector. There are passthrough extra large CAT6a RJ45 connectors. lastly, unless cabling is beyond 55m, Cat6 will do 10G just fine.

The brand of cable I have didn't have the white/green and some companies do make them that way. The link was for a different brand of Cat6a since my Cat6a was from a local Las Vegas company that sells bulk ethernet cables. I only pressed the cable down slightly to get the cable into the connector and yes crushing the cable is not good. And lastly, of course cat6 works for 10gig under 55m but this video is not about that. It's about how to install cat6a and that's it. Lol! Thanks for watching and for the comments it really helps the algorithm! 😉

im afraid i might have broken my cat6 wall socket, would it be possible for 0 experience to check inside and fix possible issue? preinstalled connection. would be as simple as just reconnecting previous wire connection? or do i have to pay professional 200 fee to do it in 5-15minutes?

Just remove the wall plate and check the wires. You can reconnect the wires and I would take a picture of the wires before you rewire it so you make sure its wired correctly.

Ok small update, the golden pins are joined together and slanted aswell i need to switch it up since i do believe enough of use has made them weak so they cant connect. I managed to get light only for few second and it probably fails and shorts the connection

XD funny i have to put a paper on the wall to inform it just needs the wall panel to mount it properly. but i am back WOOO!!!

Dude, your installation video was great, but it's incredibly annoying how many times you ask for subscriptions to your channel. Just let us watch, if we want to subscribe we will.
