@@skillcapped The clear videos behind the paywall don't seem very optimized, though. The Jarvan 3:26 one for example is quite a bit off, as he can finish under 3:20 leashless.
@@zeronothinghere9334 Runes are super standard, though. Almost nothing outside of the shards affects clearspeed, and Jarvan always takes AS/AD/Armor. A 3:26 clear is simply suboptimal.
@@ianswerwithquestionmarks3237 they clear the wave and back, is what they usually do. I'd help shove the wave into the enemy tower without taking any cs and help out, the enemy jungler or mid might be attempting a steal and a support with a busy jungler is gonna feel pressured especially after all the damage from the dragon, so I'd rather have the ADC to come help since they might get a kill or assist off an attempt. If there isn't a steal attempt, it'll make the team take the dragon faster so bot can go back to their lane with hopefully a reset on the wave and the jungler can clear a camp or two before going back to base and spend the gold.
It's still helpful nevertheless even if you're not a jungler. Now you get an idea of how fast a jungler clear his camps and get your timing with wards, tracking the enemy jungler, and other things more appropriately.
One thing you missed regarding the red buff burn is that the listed damage is for 3 ticks over 2 seconds, however the first of those ticks is always on hit and the 2 other ticks happen over the next 2 seconds. If you are relying on red buff to take the camp for you then you have to use 2/3 of the listed red buff damage (4+(4xlevel)) since 1/3 of it will have been in your last auto attack.
@@jasonpark1891 No problem. So Red buff is a DoT (damage over time) ability. This means that instead of dealing its full damage (6 + (6 times your level)) whenever you hit someone it instead will deal its damage over time starting from when you hit them. As the duration of the DoT is 2 seconds and damage is applied whenever you hit a target and every second after we see that there are three instances of damage dealt (or three ticks) with red buff. These are on hit, one second after hit, and 2 seconds after hit. Assuming your level 1 this takes the 12 total damage red buff will deal and splits it into 3 equal chunks of 4 (on hit) - 4 (1 second after) and 4 (2 seconds after). At level 10 this would be 66 damage broken up into 22-22-22 damage chunks. Another way to put this is that each chunk of damage is equal to 2+(2 times your level). Now because we're talking about using red buff and your jungle item to deal the killing blow to a monster we are purposefully leaving the monster alive with just a sliver of health. Because of this we aren't going to be able to use the full damage of red buff to figure out our "kill number" as one of the three chunks of damage is bundled into the last auto attack we dealt. We have to instead use the last 2 chunks of damage that come after the attack to finish it off. Hence the actual kill value for red buff is 4+(4 times your level), as 1 of the chunks (2+(2 times your level) is in the auto attack. Thus at level 1 if the monster has 8 hp or less and you have red buff then as long as you don't move far enough away to send it back to its spot in the jungle you will kill it with the DoT. At level 10 this increases to 44 hp or less. Note that these numbers are just for red buff. Hunters Talisman deals an additional 60 magic damage over 5 seconds which will affect the kill number, however because Hunters Talisman deals magic damage the actual value each type of camp will take depends on their magic resistance. Red buff deals true damage so it will always deal what it says it will.

Thanks for the tip. it's little things that you don't notice or realize that make a big difference. Like raptors deals the same damage but have different health bars.
Never thought of canceling camp's autos, probably since I'm mostly playing champs with no hard CC for camps like Kha, Twitch, Lee and so on. That's a good thing to know! A good follow up video would be how to properly leash. Timings for how long botlane can leash before having to go to lane, depending on the routes they take to lane. Where the jungler should kite the camp to allow for a stronger leash. Juggling aggro/patience b/w jungler and support to cancel camp auto attacks. What specific bot lane champs give strong leashes. When to change your clear route to adapt to good leashes (ie a strong leash on red-side blue into a mini-leash on gromp). I thought about this because even for non-junglers, there is some crossover to botlane and how they interact with jungle camps while leashing.
J4 E count as an object and Krug tend to move around it. If you practice enough with J4 you can attack big Krug while it is trying to move around your E and killing it without taking damage.
A few tips for (1) gromp, (2) lee sin and (3) jarvan (1) Gromp has an AS buff which lasts for 5 autos. So if you're playing a jungler with no sustain and a harsh first clear and start on blue side, you can AA once > move back and allow gromp to AA once > wait for your AA timer to come back > repeat. What this does is basically slow clear down but allow for a healthy clear since gromp will not AA you 2 times for your 1 AA (2) With lee it is always better to start W instead of Q as it allows for a healthier and faster clear because W gives life steal and it procs lee's passive more often = more AS. This means you get to AA more and deal more True dmg with machete and out damage Q1 & Q2 in the long run. Also, doing a full clear with Lee is not very good most of the time specifically because Raptors and golems take too much time but a couple of good paths I've seen utilized are: Red > Golems > Wolves > Blue > Gromp > Scuttle ( if no action is going to happen this is a good semi-full clear since on Lvl 2 lee can take on Golems rather well compared to Raptors since you need lvl 3 for Raptors but for Golems it is not necessary, and proceed to clear if not expecting scuttle contest from enemy jung) Red > Golems > Wolves > Blue > Scuttle ( if you and enemy Jung start on the same side of the map, you dont plan on invading but want to contest scuttle, skip gromp and straight to scuttle) Red > Golems > Wolves > Invade > Blue > gromp ( saves time as wolves are furthest camp away if you're coming back from the enemy jungle after invading, you get back to blue and gromp afterwards) If you plan on doing Golems on first clear as Lee i would recomend taking Adaptive + Adaptive + AR/ MR. Reason being the lesser Golems die from 4 AA's and red buff burn which saves a lot of time. Tested it out, clear speed is nowhere close compared to AS+ Adaptive. I recomend double Adaptive all the time since lee has a good AS buff from passive (3) With jarvan I've found 2 things which help with HP whenever pathing from blue to red side with full blue side clear. When doing wolves AA big wolf > stack up wolves & EQ them all > 2x AA small wolves which kills them and saves HP. When doing Red lvl 3 AA + W and allow red buff to 2x AA you then EQ to cancel 3rd AA> AA until W is up > W+ 1x AA and do not hit red until EQ comes up > EQ to cancel res AA. A semi-healthy clear if having a top laner leash. Also wanted to point out Talisman Jarvan is pretty good, you can checkout Nidhogg to see how healthy and fast such a clear can be.
So I went and made myself tanky af and when in practice tool and fucked around with the jungle camps. It actually helped a lot in understanding how much area I have for them to keep agro. Thx a lot.
For new players watching this now, the Krugs and Red buff both have 20 armour and Magic Resist, and the baby raptors have 500 health and do 7 damage while the large one does 17 damage and has 1100 health. This means you need to kill 3 baby raptors for a total of 1500 health to get rid of the effective damage output of the big one. That being said, the bits mentioned at the end (smiting late, cancelling autos when kiting) and the big bit at the start (not kiting correctly or kiting the correct distance) do still apply
So, I've watched it today and just tried out with shyv (E->Q->W, blue side, red->blue->gromp). These are stats at getting lv3: 2:33, ~50% hp - control group (old habit - immobile camp clear) Attempts at incorporating knowledge from this vid (not counting several attempts (~5-6) aborted prematurely when I've done some serious misclicks (stress-to-perform :D)): 2:30, ~45% hp - 1 attempt 2:33, ~55% hp - 2 attempt 2:35, ~45% hp - 3 attempt 2:33, ~55% hp - 4 attempt 2:33, ~50% hp - 5 attempt 2:33, ~60% hp - 6 attempt 2:31, ~58% hp - 7 attempt 2:30, ~58% hp - 8 attempt So, there might be some merit in terms of exit hp, but most of the attempts ended with same time as control group. Perhaps a long excercising of this might get me to the point of steadily performing on the level of last 2 attempts, perhaps even cutting one second more from the last one - for now, looking at some of the attempts, it might even be riskier than just standing there and hitting. I didn't try to do the entire jungle, since at hitting level 3 it's gank time, and here come too many variables to simulate in practice tool. Raptors - knew already Krugs - now that's interesting, definitely good advice
gotta love it when you jungle as Shaco as fast and efficiently clear the red side, getting lvl 3 in the process and gank bot lane when everybody just turned lvl 2
I noticed when I stopped caring about being behind in level in Jungle (except for when im playing someone like Evelynn or Shyvana) I started doing much better. I use to think "Man I need to farm, I'm behind in level" but ensuring lanes have prio and we can contest drakes proved more valuable than me being level 8 versus level 7.
- Never pops potions (or smite unless you instant kill it) while doing the Gromps since it does damage based on your current health. - With J4, you can easily trade 2 auto attacks for 1 when kiting the camp since with E up, you have wayyy more attack speed (the same can goes for Lee Sin). You can't quite do that on other jungler though.
Ezeral jungle getting some attention, nice. Although, he is really only good at taking the Buffs, and Gromps, and should gank level 2 with red. He can take wolves too, but avoid raptors.
Biggest thing that stands out that I learned was that the big raptor dose the same damage, also learned why I'm so bad at krugs (they have defence) wile red buff doesn't have defence
Could you do one about mana usage when you don't haves blue? Oftentimes after my first clear on a mana heavy champion i struggle with balancing mana expenditure vs health loss. I'm a Plat player and a lot of this was eye-opening for me. I'm going to try some stuff in custom now.
Absolutely recommend skillcapped, I originally subbed for the lulz for curiosity then I started watching all the cool shit they had and game commentary's the game became absolutely clear. I might even get the Valorant one also if it's this damn good.
Back when i thought jungle was the easiest role and hence i became a jungle main. Honestly it is the hardest role followed by Top, mid and bot. Exactly the opposite of what i used to think before.
As a Sup Main, who can't even Last Hit at all... I only watched this to see the Silver Player die on Jarvan... Seriously though, it is always nice to learn something on this channel.
There is a little bit of crossover when it comes to leashing as a support, and lots of tricks on specific champs to optimize your leash. Leona can auto-q the camp as soon as it spawns to get perfect timing to interrupt an auto attack, and then her q comes up again with perfect timing to stop a second auto. Lulu can block 2 autos with her shield as long as she times it right before the auto lands (otherwise the shield runs out before the next auto), and Yuumi can put out loads of shielding with Aery if you keep track of Aery's positioning and cooldown and bounce b/w the jungler and adc. Just a few examples!
3:38 i'm a plat jungle one trick and I only do that when I have hunter's tailsman, it lets me steal the hp b4 I go back in again. sure you're sacrificing time, but you're also getting hp, but in this case yea, who knows what that lee was doing. I've never seen a plat lee do that
Will Warwick be coming to the clear like a 1:37 challenger series? Really intresting in signing up for skillcapped but only if my main makes it into the series
I kite buffs and expect the burn from jungle item to finish it but their health bar are stuck at one hp every time. I don't get why it does this on buffs, maybe I'm too impatient to wait the next tick
I tried this before and after this Video. My stats were: Before: J4: 3:34 with 280 HP left Elise: 4:14 with 243 HP left After: J4: 3:36 with 384 HP left Elise: 4:03 with 212 HP left I still struggle with the Raptors a bit, but should be a good improvement
Context: i am pretty ok with J4 and pretty new to Elise, also my Elo is Unranked but i often play with Gold/Plat Players and it works, so i guess my Skill is around Gold
I have a confusion. I saw you top 5 jungle mechanics video there you guys said for blue and red AA 3 times then kite. But here in the video Lee shin was kiting blue by AAing once and then kiting. So it was a 1:1 trade. Can you explain why. I'm so confused
I remember this channel made a video explaining why you should not focus too hard on Dragons but I can't find it anymore. Can you please help me ? I really need it for my team's jungler who Tunnel-Vision on Dragons and that cost us a lot of games... Thank you so much !
It's been 3 months since I last played the game. It was only patch 10.5, and now it's 10.11. I can only play at internet cafe, but since there's this covid thing, I can't play anymore. And I think my knowledge about this game were not relevant anymore because a lot of things have changed and I'm going to have a hard time adjusting to the current meta. I hope I can play again before the season ends. Im playing with 5 accounts: 2 master, 2 diamond, and 1 silver.
guys the best jungler to play is trundle, i do blue buff and grump and finish by 1:57 then i do wolves into red buff and then path my way top lane to gank, i secure kills top then path my way to enemy blue buff and secure a kill their also (possibly).
I would have like to see with the leash too... its awkward to pull towards gromp as the buff is likely to go towards adc/support. Is there a tip to get optimum leash?
The difference in health/speed from clearing optimally is insane. Even the challenger jungler has room for improvement; you can full clear as j4 and finish 7 seconds faster with ~70 more hp.
Hahaha the whole video I was like "yep I know that" and then I saw the last scene with the crugs (how he didn't get hit by the small one) and my eyes were wide open like "dafuuuuq?!??? I didn't know you could do this sh*t" xD
me : let's switch to nimbus cloak for the clear speed also me : how can i use it more ? -> ignite + smite on ww it's a pretty solid build actually, make you one of the best 1v1 champ
As a silver/gold player, a big problem I have is bronze clicking. I have a hard time clicking small frame things like yorick zombies and small birds lol. Half the time I click around them and keep missing them
The secret to my clear speed is ocd. everything must be perfectly efficient, which can annoy me when i take honey fruit cuz i have to get every single last one of them even though i might not need it, as well as the small krugs.
Is it strange that as an iron jungler I actually follow most of these rules? Like smite krugs on AD, auto baby raptors first, a few others. But I think my mechanics are so bad that no matter how much I know about kiting the camp, I fail enough animation cancels enough that my health ends up low. Time for a date with the practice tool I guess haha :,)
Practice is key! There are tons of guides for the proper inputs to pull of kiting in the jungle too. (Also -- everyone grasps different skills at different times. Chances are if you are like me and do fairly well at kiting camps, you might be making mistakes elsewhere such as being in the wrong place at the wrong time, failing ganks, occasionally smiting drakes at the wrong time, etc.)

Red > Golems > Wolves > Blue > Gromp > Scuttle ( if no action is going to happen this is a good semi-full clear since on Lvl 2 lee can take on Golems rather well compared to Raptors since you need lvl 3 for Raptors but for Golems it is not necessary, and proceed to clear if not expecting scuttle contest from enemy jung)
Red > Golems > Wolves > Blue > Scuttle ( if you and enemy Jung start on the same side of the map, you dont plan on invading but want to contest scuttle, skip gromp and straight to scuttle)
Red > Golems > Wolves > Invade > Blue > gromp ( saves time as wolves are furthest camp away if you're coming back from the enemy jungle after invading, you get back to blue and gromp afterwards)
If you plan on doing Golems on first clear as Lee i would recomend taking Adaptive + Adaptive + AR/ MR. Reason being the lesser Golems die from 4 AA's and red buff burn which saves a lot of time. Tested it out, clear speed is nowhere close compared to AS+ Adaptive. I recomend double Adaptive all the time since lee has a good AS buff from passive
(3) With jarvan I've found 2 things which help with HP whenever pathing from blue to red side with full blue side clear.
7:43 He cleared Raptors with a Machete, a Longsword, a pair of Boots, and a level lead
Pair of boots dealing 100% extra true damage to raptors xD
@@mohamadzakaria96 It helps with kiting
These are stats at getting lv3:
2:33, ~50% hp - control group (old habit - immobile camp clear)
Attempts at incorporating knowledge from this vid (not counting several attempts (~5-6) aborted prematurely when I've done some serious misclicks (stress-to-perform :D)):
2:30, ~45% hp - 1 attempt
2:33, ~55% hp - 2 attempt
2:35, ~45% hp - 3 attempt
2:33, ~55% hp - 4 attempt
2:33, ~50% hp - 5 attempt
2:33, ~60% hp - 6 attempt
2:31, ~58% hp - 7 attempt
2:30, ~58% hp - 8 attempt
So, there might be some merit in terms of exit hp, but most of the attempts ended with same time as control group.
Raptors - knew already
Krugs - now that's interesting, definitely good advice
This is really useful - especially the parts about negative armor on red and damage on raptors - im jungling and wasnt even aware of these things
J4 in silver: "DIED/DIED"
gotta love it when you jungle as Shaco as fast and efficiently clear the red side, getting lvl 3 in the process and gank bot lane when everybody just turned lvl 2
Bruh. I keep saying it, this is the BEST, most EFFECTIVE place to learn league. No other site compares.
That raptors tip will be extremely helpful!
You can't quite do that on other jungler though.
love these titles xD
If you make another one of these kind of videos, can you tell us how to quickly dash from camp to camp as Kayn?
This is honestly so helpful, great video
really interesting and helpful. Thanks so much!
Ezeral jungle getting some attention, nice. Although, he is really only good at taking the Buffs, and Gromps, and should gank level 2 with red. He can take wolves too, but avoid raptors.
Just did about 6 lvl1 jungle practise runs with Zac, managed to shave my time off by 16 seconds using these tips!
good guide. I will now know how to kite with my Ivern jungle properly
How did he managed to die? U can start jarvan on blue by ur self and be pretty solid, start his e and then q 😅 probs mever played jarvan
Biggest thing that stands out that I learned was that the big raptor dose the same damage, also learned why I'm so bad at krugs (they have defence) wile red buff doesn't have defence
I see the personal titles to get people to feel bad about themselves and get the click for more views, I LIKE IT
Could you do one about mana usage when you don't haves blue? Oftentimes after my first clear on a mana heavy champion i struggle with balancing mana expenditure vs health loss.
I'm a Plat player and a lot of this was eye-opening for me. I'm going to try some stuff in custom now.
Plz share more in game details, were they using smites? What were the runes? What was the exact pathing?
Can you post the silver j4 clearing?
I'm just.... curious about something.
I betcha raptors killed him
I cannot thank you enough for the tips can you have a jgler coach give us more tips? The Krug kite was crazy good for a healthy clear
I wonder, when playing ad|ap champs like Shyvana, should you smite red on level 1 or not ? Cuz the damage is kinda the same for ap and ad..
Nice! I’ve always wanted to Clear Like a 1:37 Challenger!
Absolutely recommend skillcapped, I originally subbed for the lulz for curiosity then I started watching all the cool shit they had and game commentary's the game became absolutely clear.
I might even get the Valorant one also if it's this damn good.
Thank you. This helps me a lot.
hi bro im watching you from argentina you help me a lot with these videos bro keep it up!
Capo
When I'm aluminum I always go for crimson raptor because I can kill the small ones with my W & E.
Back when i thought jungle was the easiest role and hence i became a jungle main. Honestly it is the hardest role followed by Top, mid and bot. Exactly the opposite of what i used to think before.
9:48 how can I find this video? I can not find this video
What is the music name 2:35
I always have felt like the first clear is like a speedrun for jungle.
3:38 i'm a plat jungle one trick and I only do that when I have hunter's tailsman, it lets me steal the hp b4 I go back in again. sure you're sacrificing time, but you're also getting hp, but in this case yea, who knows what that lee was doing. I've never seen a plat lee do that
that you wouldn't need because it's only like 20 hp
Every health counts though
@@truffleworm1490 the 20 hp that brought diana's winrate down 1% you mean?
Will Warwick be coming to the clear like a 1:37 challenger series? Really intresting in signing up for skillcapped but only if my main makes it into the series
this is so helpful damn thank you for putting this out
Keep the content coming! Have a blessed day 🙏🙏🙏
i am still waiting for ezreal morgana rengar and evelynn but great course over at the site
I kite buffs and expect the burn from jungle item to finish it but their health bar are stuck at one hp every time. I don't get why it does this on buffs, maybe I'm too impatient to wait the next tick
no,it just leaves them on 1
It leaves buffs on 1 so that if you're leashing blue for your mid or red for your ADC, the jungle item won't steal it from them
can you kite the large krug around the little one instead ?
3:18 its from your guide jungle mechanics hitting buff 3 attacks and kite so you can be healthy but instead he do 5
AHAHA that's me. That's what I tried to do, but i can see how it was over-kiting now
I tried this before and after this Video. My stats were:
Before:
J4: 3:34 with 280 HP left
Elise: 4:14 with 243 HP left
After:
J4: 3:36 with 384 HP left
Elise: 4:03 with 212 HP left
I still struggle with the Raptors a bit, but should be a good improvement
Context: i am pretty ok with J4 and pretty new to Elise, also my Elo is Unranked but i often play with Gold/Plat Players and it works, so i guess my Skill is around Gold
I have a confusion.
I saw you top 5 jungle mechanics video there you guys said for blue and red AA 3 times then kite.
But here in the video Lee shin was kiting blue by AAing once and then kiting. So it was a 1:1 trade.
Can you explain why. I'm so confused
season 11 is here, and now all of the item oriented information is outdated
):
Could you do another one of these with the new jungle item?
This is a lot of help. Tnx!
I remember this channel made a video explaining why you should not focus too hard on Dragons but I can't find it anymore. Can you please help me ? I really need it for my team's jungler who Tunnel-Vision on Dragons and that cost us a lot of games... Thank you so much !
I would love to see how much of this still holds in S11, with the camp changes.
Is it possible to get video of the full clears?
1:26
Silver - 'DIED'
guys the best jungler to play is trundle, i do blue buff and grump and finish by 1:57 then i do wolves into red buff and then path my way top lane to gank, i secure kills top then path my way to enemy blue buff and secure a kill their also (possibly).
@O K actually its not slow at all lol, i am lvl 3 with 27 cs while enemy top lane or mid is still struggling at lvl 2
I would have like to see with the leash too... its awkward to pull towards gromp as the buff is likely to go towards adc/support. Is there a tip to get optimum leash?
You can pull the buff once they leave and you can easily kite buffs when the leashers are ranged.
8:27 The Elise took less damage because the spiderlings were tanking damage
This is gonna help my karthus jg so much.
u should make a video about late game champs and how to scale them.
I didn't know you could do this sh*t" xD
me : let's switch to nimbus cloak for the clear speed
also me : how can i use it more ? -> ignite + smite on ww
it's a pretty solid build actually, make you one of the best 1v1 champ
it really helped with the krug
Thanks for the content 😁
That silver J4 tho... I laughed so hard I was shaking.
DIED/DIED - THAT GUY WAS ME I ADMIT IT
As a silver/gold player, a big problem I have is bronze clicking. I have a hard time clicking small frame things like yorick zombies and small birds lol. Half the time I click around them and keep missing them
Been thinking about maybe playing OSU, see if that would improve my clicking lol
The secret to my clear speed is ocd. everything must be perfectly efficient, which can annoy me when i take honey fruit cuz i have to get every single last one of them even though i might not need it, as well as the small krugs.
It's not efficient if you waste time tho
Is better to keep more hp or time?
"Botlane is pinging the dragon"
me every game : Are you sure about that
0:14 i wish that my bot even knew about existence of the dragons in this game
Please make a jax top guide and also sylas jungle guide
Hewwooo this is amazing , Thx skill capped
np i just play ww and i wait for my w to finish camp while i look at the map and spam q whenever it is up
Is it strange that as an iron jungler I actually follow most of these rules?
