Matty has and always will be my favorite vocalist not because of him being good but because he's a lyrical genius and he's a great person all around. people say he can't scream live and that's not true he does somewhat weak screams soo that he can also keep up cleans live. he CAN scream live for sure and those growls he didn't hold back. he has to level everything out to make it all sound good unlike alot of vocalist who can either sing or scream live not both.
This band STILL Doesn't get th credit they deserve for their live performances. I honestly didn't really know much about them at all until I saw them live at Warped a few years ago, and I absolutely fell IN LOVE. I saw my other favorite bands that day, I mean, Bring Me the Horizon, Hands Like Houses, We Came as Romans, blessthefall, but when it came to Memphis May Fire, I was blown away. I have never seen a better live show in my life. They absolutely DOMINATE the stage, and DAMN they need more recognition. There will never be enough.
It's incredible how good they are live compared to their discs. And considering this was at the end of the set and his voice was still holding up is awesome.
It was an encore, was probably drained and voice gave out a bit. It honestly happens a lot man, especially when you sing and scream. And on top of that you're running around putting on a good show, it drains the fuck out of you haha.
