- Welcome to the day in the life of a mobile programmer. Thanks for taking a ride with me as we travel all over southern Arizona programming keys, performing some diagnostics and updating control modules.
Please like comment and share.
Cool video Cody :) ! Word of advise... DON'T SHOW YOUR PHONE NUMBER ON YT! (The one on your truck sticker) YT People are ridiculous and have zero respect and will blow your phone up to the point you will have to get a new number. Trust me on this one ;) Also, no side arm in your EDC pile!?
Thank you Eric-0! I definitely carry but didn’t want to show that. I’ll edit the video for my number. Also noticed my address is showing too. Really appreciate you stopping by.
Because it’s Arizona, the existence of a sidearm should already be inferred. It would only be surprising if someone were traveling with a single firearm without multiple backups.
Good point Eric. (and good reminder)
Makin' me paranoid lol
@@HouseCallAutoRepair you have to be.... ppl are out there!! Lots of audacity.
@@codysautodiagnosticsprogra8706
You can blur it without uploading a new video, in the TH-cam editing section
Im enjoying this video Cody! It seems like youre starting out well!
Thank you brother!
He's got more tied up in scan tools than I've made in the past 2 years... He's got a heck of a "start"!
Hey Cody quick question, How many years of schooling would I need to do so I can be as good as you? At the moment I have 0% knowledge in doing Diagnostics. @@codysautodiagnosticsprogra8706
You're on your way to new adventures! I'm happy to see your getting some business already. I think your skill set will make a lot of customers very happy and once you're comfortable with how to charge for your time, you will be bringing in some good cash.
Wyatt I really appreciate the kind words sir. It’s nice to have guys like yourself supporting me . Thank you
And he won't be leaving customers hanging, with half of a job done...
@@HouseCallAutoRepair 🙌
Hey Cody, that was an awesome vid! Looks like your time management system is top notch :)
Let’s just say it’s a work in progress Ivan 😂 today everything flowed nicely for the most part
oh forgot to ask heard anything about Joe hope he is better
He is on new meds but he isn’t 💯 yet.
Glad you asked, and glad Cody answered. Can't say I've had a conversation with him, but he did tell me he's hanging in there. I suspect he'll be back in a few more weeks. (I miss his way of bringing his version of diag)
It's going to be my first time. I'm starting with the diagun. Still waiting to receive it.
I've had that issue with Ford. Spot on with the keys man GJ
I had exact same issue adding 3rd key a 2011 f350. Aftermarket keys have to OBP remote and I think that is where issue lies.
That’s good to know, I appreciate that info, thank you
thank you for bringing us along for the ride and giving us an insight to your day, congrats on your new chapter and I'm sure it will only get better!
Thanks for joining me buddy! 🤘
Invoicing means Work, I love it! Keep on killing it man, Cant wait to see you grow!!
Thanks brother 🤘
CODY THAT WAS TRULY NEEDED,,, ALL I CAN SAY IS PLEASE LET THERE BE MORE. THIS IS A TASTE OF WHAT IT IS IN THE LIFE OF A TRUE PROFESSIONAL MOBIL-TECH I SALUTE YOU AND AM PROUD TO KNOW YOU AS A FRIEND. HOPEFULLY, THERE IS ENOUGH TIME LEFT IN A DAY TO BE MY TRUSTED ADVISOR,,, IN SMALL TERMS A MENTOR. THANKS, AND KNOW WE TRULY APPRECIATE YOUR TIME AND EFFORTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much buddy! More videos are in the way!!
how do you do programming?
Love it brother..Definitely wanna see more. 👍
Ya..listening to customers describe issues and what they "DIAGNOSED" can lead you down a bumpy road. Been there before. Lol Keep these videos coming Bro.. Cheers
Absolutely bro! I don’t trust ANYONE when they said they checked it 😂
show how you diagnose the sensor
Thanks for putting this video up Cody. Helps guys like me who are thinking about going mobile
This is awesome to hear about other wanting to go mobile buddy. If I can help in any way please ask as I will tell you what I have learned
Loved your introduction style in tbis one Cody. Lot's of switch problems today...always in batches 😂
I'm excited to see the awesome stuff to come from being fully mobile and independent brother!
Keep doing great things my friend!
Your not at brake max anymore if not what’s your rate for diag I run Ryan auto on the east side always looking for mobile programming
No sir I’m mobile now. I’ll be happy to help, send me an email at codysautodiagnostics@gmail.com and I’ll give you my contact info. Thanks Anthony
Loved the vid man! Would definitely like to see more of these!
Awesome! Will do buddy
Good stuff Cody ! Really enjoyed this video 👍
Thank you sir!
please, put a link to Isaac rio diesel channel

No window activation with the scan tool?
I looked and wasn’t in there. The way the circuit is wired I don’t see how bcm could control it anyway.
Keep these videos coming!! Alway well done.
So you did all these for a pro bono
Absolutely not. I charge everywhere I go.
Rocking Roll Brotha! Out there killing it 🍻😎🤙
The is bro! 🙏
Should have charged. Don't work for free. Your ability is worth something.
Yeah I know. The ticket from the shop was a pretty good size and it’s something I know I need to work on. It’s definitely different being on the other side of the business and charging. I’ll definitely work on that in the future
@@codysautodiagnosticsprogra8706 I know it’s tough when you are starting out but don’t think with your heart think with business sense. I know when I started I had a soft heart and it ends in costing you money. I got my wife to the billing so that she was an arms length away from the customer. Just trying to some good advice. Good luck at your new adventure.
@@thebaldmechanichardatheari1124 you are absolutely correct sir and I need to start thinking business. Thanks for the tip
IMHO I'd say you did the right thing. A happy customer is a return customer. An extatic customer is free advertising!
Cody, AWESOME brother wish you the best of luck and success in ur business are you using AUTEL 609M for programing keys only and do u have other back up tool for keys and immobiliser more videos please really is an eye opening and very enjoyable to learn from the master am thinking to do the same in 6 months cheeeeers from Ontario/ Canada.
Thank you sir! I currently use the autel im608 and the auto pro pad for keys and immobilizer. I’ll be adding a key machine later on and more immobilizer tools. Their is definitely good money in keys
Great video! You showed lots of restraint when you discussed the Altima with "all good powers and grounds". I have a question: When you're working on an FCA product and there's no internet available (and your portable hotspot is DOA), do you bypass the SGW module or do you wait until you can get WiFi?
Haha you saw that huh?
Great stuff. Keep it up
Thank you
Thoroughly enjoyed this Cody! You're rocking it sir!! 😁🤗👏🏻👍🏻
Thank you Cuba! 😊
Cheers for that Cody really enjoyed the Video and the insight for being mobile. Extra interesting seeing you have to have all the stuff for every occasion especially coding. Keep them coming this is far more interesting than watching A TV soap/boxset. stay safe.
Thanks for the kind words Shane!
100% agree with always doing your own testing and not trusting provided information. If they could repair it they wouldn’t be calling you. Plain and simple.
Oh man if I listened what shops or customers told me they “checked” I would waste sooo much time lol
Demanding work! You're up for it and we're all cheering for you, Cody:)
Really appreciate that!
Excellent video brother, happy everything is going well so far for you. Two thumbs up 👍🏻
Thanks bro 🤘
A look inside the day of a mobile guy lol , love it Cody . Not easy pulling off the job , while making a video . Good to see its taking off for you , be finding your groove over time . Got to focus on the jobs now , videos will come . Going to do well my friend , top tech like yourself will be valuable necessity for all shops in the area . Being able to give you a call to get programing and tough diagnosis performed , through your mobile service going to be sweet for them .
Thank you Mr Wilson! Really value your support!
Good video bro! It's Good to see you're doing well! Need to come visit and tag along. 🤙🏼
Door is always open brother!
Cody, very happy for you. Pray that you continue to grow into being independent mobile. I have been my own boss before. It is a lot of work but very rewarding. May God bless you and go before. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Thank you sir! I appreciate the kind words.
Hey Cody i was wondering what power supply do you use when flashing/programming?
Hey buddy I use the shumaker 70 amp unit at the moment but heard hood things about the power max units.
Nice video! Got excited when you were going to take a look at the Autel 919 but then you forgot the camera. I have an Autel Ultra, have only used snap on before we got the Ultra. If you get one a video using it would be cool.
I’ll be going back to that shop so I’ll see if they will let me film it.
looks like your living your dream man ,working in the biggest workshop in the world ....
great video.....
rob mobile man
Never viewed it as the biggest workshop it you are absolutely spot on!
I’ll watch as many of these videos as you can make. Mobile guys are the smartest; we have a couple challenging diag issues in between hanging wheel bearings but you guys solve tough problems all day long.
It just takes practice buddy. I’m not that smart but I’m have an amazing network of guys that are brilliant and we all help each other out.
Nice to see you are busy already ,best of luck
Glad to see you finally took that leap! It seems we all are headed this way and it looks like you’re starting off really busy! Once they get a hold of your super powers (diagnostic skills) you’ll have to start sending reminders to let them know when you’re taking off lol... Good luck brother and congrats on making it official!
Thanks brother! It’s guys like yourself that gave me the courage to go on my own. Seeing how your business has grown has been a pleasure to watch.
Cool video! I can't leave home without my pocket screwdriver either. Lol
Haha I’m lost if I forget it 😂
Looks like you got it going on
Thanks for your time
Great video. What a packed day. Way to show what the 608 can do. Recently picked one up. Have only used it on Toyotas though.
Thanks bro! It was my busiest day yet so figured it was a good day to film lol. The im608 is awesome. Still learning it’s capabilities but love that tool so far.
I'm psyched that you are going forward with your Mobile Tech business.
Thank you buddy!
Great job. Yes would love to see more of this. Looks like not too bad of a day. Little tip your music when playing seemed about four times as loud as when you were talking.
I was wondering about that. I’ll fix that for the future, thank you
Great video sir! Thanks
I love one note , such a simple quick software . I use it for aircraft evaluations.
I absolutely love that program!! Actually got a video coming out today on the program.
Cody thanks for the ride. Seems pretty intense. I wish you the best in your new business. Once again thanks for sharing buddy. Any news on Joe? Just wondering. 😁 Artie
Hey Artie, Joe is still not back to work and try by new meds, again so I guess we will see how it turns out.
@@codysautodiagnosticsprogra8706 Joe’s going through a tough one. My wife and I just split. Pandemic and politics don’t mix up here in NY. Stay well and safe
I’m so happy for you Cody! It looks like you’re taking to the mobile life like a fish to water. Keep the videos coming my friend.
Thanks brother!
Great Job Cody! 👍👍 And what about the before5amgang 😆 Happy for you.
We stick together 🤘
Amazed at how much you got accomplished in your day! You’re good.
Thank you sir! This was a busier day.
Enjoyed that, keep em coming! Great to see someone else’s process of managing the mobile life
Thanks for stopping by Sean!
Great video Cody! Glad to see ya taking off!
Thanks for all your support Mario, it’s been greatly appreciated over the years.
@@codysautodiagnosticsprogra8706 this makes me wanna do a day in the life video too 😆 frm did it a while ago and I've been procrastinating long enough LOL say hi to the fam for me!
Bro do it! You know guys eat this stuff up. It’s good filler videos in between diag videos.
Are you with borst still?
No sir I’m 💯 on my own
Good for you bro! Solid move! Happy for you!
Great video! Thanks for taking the time to post it and best of luck!
Thanks for watching!
Congratulations Cody !
If a Ford has 2 keys you do not need a scantool to program the 3rd
Yeah I know there is a way but issue was one key showed registered but wouldn’t start the vehicle. I ended up doing all keys lost to unregister that key and relearn the 2 ford keys.
I use the surface pro for programming. Do ford gm Chrysler Honda all on same laptop. Toyota on another. No nissans though.
Oh wow I haven’t tried the surface pro for programming yet.
@@codysautodiagnosticsprogra8706 works great. Basically just went to gm website got all requirements for better column they have on the system requirements. Just did keys for a 203 Taurus today. Launch x431 failed though
I recognize those views 😆. I am really glad your mobile business is doing well and you are staying busy!
Thank you Joey! And thank you for all your help along the way. I’ve learned a lot from you, I owe you big time
I feel I have learned more from you than you have from me. The ability to network with others in this field is our #1 asset IMO
🙏Keep doing what you doing all the best
🤘 thank you
Nice to see how you are doing. Slow down a small bit.
Today was an exceptionally busy day. Most days aren’t this busy
Great Video
Good stuff Cody.
Thank you!
Nice 👍 best wishes
do you remove T-body when you clean
On this one I didn’t but normally yes.
Cody who is your guy for laptops ?
Isaac RoDiesel. If you send me an email at codysautodiagnostics@gmail.com or find me on fb at Cody’s auto diagnostics I can get you his info.
That’s awesome man. Glad it’s all working in your favor! Stay safe brother!
Will do bro! Looking forward to hearing if you get the teaching gig
@@codysautodiagnosticsprogra8706 I submitted that needed information they asked for. And wrapping up the apprenticeship proposal for the director tonight (my boss nor my dad knows I’m pitching the idea lol)
Best of luck sir! Keep me posted

Awesome video. As someone interested in being mobile this is some fantastic information
Thank you brother! If you need someone to help you with anything along the way please let me know. I’ll be happy to help
@@codysautodiagnosticsprogra8706 I would. How do you go about getting customers? Mail business cards to shops??
I stopped by the shops with card, fliers and magnets bro. Send me an email at codysautodisgnostics@gmail.com and I can send you pics of what I drop off
@@codysautodiagnosticsprogra8706 awesome It's a work in progress at this point However it's soon becoming reality things are starting to fall into place
Being that I'm doing exactly what Paul says not to do... I'm learning from him, you and a handful of the others, here. I've been on a hobby basis for too long and sick of wasting the passion.
Paul is like god to me. I owe him so much in my career
I hope you're also packing with all those tools & toys!
Yes sir I have to. I got to some shady parts of town.
