It's because gaming laptops are designed to use the full clock speed only when charging, to conserve battery. Hence It is smoother and also *recommended* to play games with charger plugged in. Only issue is temperature. If it gets too hot It might damage battery

I also had same problem,but as far I see only difference in between those laptops are price and fingerprint,so my choice would be Acer
And processor is on Acer is slightly good if you compare their benchmarks on internet ,if I remember correctly ram version in both is DDR4 but difference is Asus ram version slightly good

You have only 1 ssd slot as per acer community website. So, you have to remove the default one to upgrade with a new expanded ssd. There is not 2 slots for ssd. Please rectify your video.
