- One of these times when I say that this'll be my last PMD project I'll actually mean it. But for now enjoy a remaster of my old medley 'You Promised Me Forever.'
Credit to Arata Iiyoshi and Keisuke Ito for the originals used in this, I only put them together in one place.
This is AMAAAAAZING, I simply love it
Holy crap I just found this, and this is one of the best pmd remasters I’ve ever heard
I've started this, and it already sounds amazing. I'm currently partway through my first playthrough of Gates, and once I finish it will have played through each PMD game. I've been avoiding music spoilers, because, well, the music is amazing. Thus, I shall come back here and enjoy it to the fullest upon my completion of Gates. I can tell you've done a great job though!
Thank you so much! Hope you enjoy Gates despite its reputation; the music in that in some of my favorite!
@@Composer_KB I have thoroughly enjoyed it! In fact... It may be my favorite game of all time. Let me explain.
I first played Blue Rescue Team when I was about 8. I had the guide, and found the game on ebay for ~$10. I didn't know what to expect apart from Pokemon, and ended up playing through something truly special. For years after playing I'd get the town theme stuck in my head without knowing where it was from, I'll always remember that. Running away with Pikachu was always a stunning turn of events, it made me so excited for the rest of the game!
It was the game that really made me love imagination and stories, something I'd never forget after playing. I eventually gave away my copy of Diamond, but never Blue Rescue Team.
Then, about 8 years later, I decided to play another Mystery Dungeon game. This time, it was Super. I got so engrossed so quickly, and immediately put it in my top ten. The music, story, gameplay, everything, it was all simply amazing. My partner Riolu was so wonderful, and I loved the writing.
One thing that kind of disappointed me was that I, the player, didn't cry at the end. No piece of media had ever made me, and I knew it would have to be something as amazing as Pokemon Mystery Dungeon to have it happen even once.
A few months after that I dove in again, this time with Explorers of Sky. The same thing happened all over again. Phanpy was never a Pokemon I disliked, but now it's got to be one of my favorites. I definitely won't ever forget.
Though I had not cried this time either, I truly loved the game. I've played hundreds of great games, and to this day, though Sky was never my favorite, I think it's the best one I've ever played. Truly a masterpiece.
Then, I waited about 8 months or so. At age 17, I finally set out to play the last Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. What a game.
It was a great game of course, it is PMD after all, but it was everything coming together that made me love it so. It had the classic formula, great story, music, gameplay, the whole shebang. But it also had the Paradise aspect, something very 3ds feeling. Reminds me of Fantasy Life or Ever Oasis. Just feels right at home on the console.
But what makes it my favorite game ever? How can it dethrone Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling? It did something no other game, nay, piece of media had ever done. The ending made me cry. Full tear down the cheek. It was wonderful. My partner Francis (Oshawatt) was a wonderful character, and all of Paradise was amazing.
The Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series is my favorite of all time, and Gates was an incredible experience. Waiting to listen to this was really worth it, and you did an incredible job! You really brought back all the memories with this, so thank you! There may never be another PMD game, but I hope stuff like this continues to crop up. This music is really special, so thank you again!

Hey cheers for this! What you labelled as In the Hands of Fate was merely a reprise of Through the Sea of Time, which I used its fan-given name 'Sacrifice' for in the actual score, underneath it are elements of the Partner Theme--the background and melody. But everything else on there is correct!
I'm getting chills as I'm listening to this. You starting with Fugitives - Run Away and supplementing it with small motifs from other games as it builds up to a final goodbye for a series that I've held so dearly to my heart is making me tear up. Thank you for creating something so beautiful.
It's sad but it's also happy in a way- all of the series endings are so bittersweet and yet hopeful, almost. Hopefulness tinged with sadness. It's sad to see you move on from PMD, but it also brings in the thought of new songs that you've made yourself. I've enjoyed knowing you in the time that we've spent in the PMD community together and I can't wait to see what you'll create next.
I'm looking forward to whatever you decide to post here, whether it be original songs or arrangements from another fandom and the improvement that'll come with it.
very good!!
how does this only have 850 views! this is amazing work.
by the way, do you remember what the part at 14:50 is from? it sounds like partners theme but not entirely, it sounds really nice!
That would be the Final Dark Matter theme, or Dark Matter 02; which is essentially just the Partner Theme rehashed which is why it sounds similar.
Thank you so much though! I'm just a small creator too busy with college to actually keep making arrangements to upload, but I really would love to revisit some things now that I know a whole lot more about music!
@@Composer_KB thank you! good luck in your studies!
