    more crazy ideas for you -----put a 5th wheel in the center between those fame wheels. use a hub mtor to make it simple or maybe a chain drive. put suspension on it with a heavy spring and max the travel. Match the rim size and style to the front but motorcycle style. Get some kind of really light alternator poweered by the rear with a switch to charge the battery or to put power directly to the motor. Have multiple small battery packs, plus the alternator for a major power dump. it's a 'turbo' boost plus added traction. later you would put some small motors in the front hub--- With the alternator even if the battery is down it should still provide some traction and assist. You could consider having a regn capability then you would have 2 things creating power. I don't know if that would be a mess. You might just use one of those car boosters as the battery, you wantt to keep the weight down. If you have a big enough motor you might add one of those tiny generators for running blenders at the beach. It can flex to the extra demand. Between the 2 gens and the battery it's a pretty good emergency power sourc that can be moved around. Use ROKON wheels for the woutside wheels for extra fuel storage, Build a bunch of really light storge compartments. Maybe make the whole rear swing a few inches on a mini bag if the have it or a couple springs. The back wheels should be 2 motocycle tires on each side (dually) all 7 rims and tires can swap anywhere, then have 1 spare. You need a some kind of on-board air compressor. Crazy idea, has anyone thought of having a tube inside a tubeless tire as a backup? You have 2 valve stems. You can fill them both with that selant. Tires as tall as possible, raise suspension, widen front. Wheels would have to be custom like dully trucks, modify existing motorcycle wheel with custom center. The extreme offset could be used to widen the front. Now that you are sitting as low as comfortable because there is room to lower the seat, put an aluminum cage/cab with a round rear window and camping tools clipped to the sides. Paint it all dark forest green with black shading in the corners. The idea is to do something REALLY unique, but it has to make sense too. It can't be original and completely stupid. Here's a question I have about another idea for motor performance. If you too a gas motor and and a gate that forced the exhaust into a right sized diesel, with a gate valve to turn the system on/off, would it superchage the diesel and also provide some unburned fuel ?

    with the torque of that gear reduction that would be real good for light farm use. you could maybe rig some kind of PTO. You have a lot of space for tools under and on the front. Put a long exhaust staight up to get it away from you as much as possible. It would be nice if you could figure a way to get 2 speeds . Did you think about putting the motor under the back?

      That’s what I plan on doing like some sort of lift maybe taking the air lift I made in my other video and building it off the back of this

    • @adamssmallengines
      @adamssmallengines  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The motor wouldn’t fit under the back and if I put it up there it will be the highest possible up so if it gets muddy or deep it doesn’t effect the engine

      I also thought about making a box under where the atv engine used to be that was water tight for tools etc

      @@adamssmallengines i'll have to check that out. i'm gona tell ya --- try to keep things as simple as possible and then decide if you you are going to get all fancy ---- not that some kind of rear suspension could be good depending on how much real use are you going to get out of it. Try to get it functional in the basic form and jump on the obvious. The motor ut there makes it reall eas to work on. I see this as a good idea to make an inexpensive light farm vehicle. With the gear reduction, if you had 2 sprokets on the axle with a chain both before and after the gear and a way to enguage and dis either one it's possible to make it a high low setup. What's the reason for not using the quad back half?

      @@adamssmallengines good point --- easy to work on too ---- a cover with padding, rounded edges and maybe some kind of fan, then j b weld all kinds of fins on the motor ---

    maybe not on this one but something like this and then somehow have another ICE or electric/maybe hydraulic system turning the front wheels. I'm talking about for low gearing, slower speeds on the farm or maybe trecking, like the Rokon but 4 wheels --- if you have 2 separate systems then if one breaks you can still get there. Starting with the right donor, something like what you have with a brigs motor in the front would be the most basic model. You might have to start with a 4x4 quad and then start over with the difff. . The beauthy is the design leaves a lot of room for storage. For any kind of hunting or back woods prospecting/camping, function is more important that getting there fast. For the hybrid thing, if you have a motor on the front, throw a belt to a york a/c compressor and set up a propper onboard air compressor. Because it's tied to the front drive it can be used as a brake, you can run tools with it, you might be able to pump eccess air generated from braking into the intake . It's called compressed air supercharging. I don't know if the practical pressures and capacities would do much but compressed air supercharging exists. It would be fun to experiment with. I wonder if the spin direction matters because you could mount a york compressor and a brigs shaft to shaft mabye with some kind of joint. Make the main frame structure out of large pipe and make that the air tank. If you are going for backwoods funcaionality, immagine having a decent size battery that charges whenever you want. It would be good for charging other batteries for tools even some electric cooking.

      @@adamssmallengines life is hard to make time for sometimes. thinking about your rig just triggered a reall radical but simple idea. i have already thought a lot about intigrating multiple hybrid systems (like all of them) into one vehicle. It makes more sense for a work application or RV just as well and you intigrate every which way recycling heat and energy in every way practical. There are countless levels you could take it to. thinking about your rig made me think about that doing it on an a mini 4x4 or an oversized quad is a good place to start as you can try a miniturized version and cheaper and easier to work on. i like everything but I think a lot about extreme practicality more than other types of performance, also as important, marketability.

      @@adamssmallengines i was bouncing a couple ideas around triggered by this conversation for just a minute just now and came up with something simple and pretty original. I am going to share it with you and then I will delete it --- and ask you to keep it between us for now. If you want to do anything you can take full credit and I'll can give you my input but it's your baby. Here it is -- this is wild. We are going for more mpg but this can be upscaled. Basics: Take 3 motorcyhcles with 2 matching and make a track veh. with another power wheel in the center back (attache 3 side by side) --- the middle rig could be electric and it could be a quad - even a 4x4 quad --- like what if you cut a quad and stretched it out, had a track on each side would give additional steering and a handle --- have a L and R thumb throttle for the tracks ----- i immagine thin tracks articulation and the ultimate would be hydraulics that can raise/lower independently.

    • @tOxIc_TrEaSuRe
      @tOxIc_TrEaSuRe 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@adamssmallengines to get even more crazy, how about a quad, 4x4 and then some mini size tracks on each corner each powered by a small ice can can also raise and lower. L and R side throttles connect together. Again, thinner tracks and can raise and lower L or R in sync or one by one. The tracks can raise up. This expands the size to be about the size of like an old willys jeep. You could consider designing it so one of those, or some cuttom body can be made --- something with a narro cab maybe wide fenders---- trying to keep the whole package not too big --- then intigrating hybrid systems and having various input and out power for either work . I see 2 markets, farm/ranch and outdoor adventure/prospecting. On this idea if your center 'unit' is electric , there is your hybrid features and if you have ability to steer you might be able to get somewhere with just one of the corner motors working. You could also experiment with having the front tracks steer --- immagine having 4x4 + 4 mini tracks ---- or how about screw the tracks ----- make and 8x8 using a 4x4 quad plus lowerable wheels on each corner that are forward or aft of the center setup-- the fronts are tied to the steering --- all the outer wheel/motors can be raised --- it's getting really complicated but it could be done somehow ---- the quad would be tucked under and you would mostly see the outer wheels --- the outer wheels are like 45 deg from the inners --- trying to have more travel and soft springs for articulaton but hydraulic height adjustment as well---- then think about all the on board air, battery systems ----
