I’m crying right now. I used to love this as a kid, this exact video. And now I’m back to it in 2023, away from whatever kid are doing on tik tok and stuff. Just reflecting on the past
I like how you say it like that. I feel like your past right now. whatching this video because i really like lego trains, and becouse maybe i will get inspiration by this.
I remember watching this when I was younger and while I was into Lego trains and Lego as a whole. But even though I’ve lost a bit of interest in this and started a collection of Godzilla and other stuff, I still kinda like Lego trains and I’m glad I still kept all the track I used to have. So thanks for being a part of my childhood and still uploading content to this day.
been watching this since 2017,and still feels that this is cool bc the amount of effort to set up this which probably took hours to do was insane.good work 😀
The Emerald Night doesn't do well on slopes at all, when I run mine it's always a flat track. Most of the trains running on this track have two motors and are much better at handling slopes.
great video! I have train 60051 and I am updating my circuit, but I can't get it to go up when raising the tracks, because it hits the nose of the train and gets stuck. Have you made any modifications to the train so that it goes up? Thank you
Great video ! I'm a just-for-fun lego-train enthusiast and will never get to this level of build, just starting out with a backyard-animal encounter youtube videos :o)

Amazing how you still created an awesome track, even though it doesn't look like you had a-lot of straight track. I also have my own Lego collection, including trains (why of-course), but it seems that straight track is quite a rare thing to find, not to mention they are expensive, so I gotta work with that flex track, you know, the noisy type lol. Great video though, I watched it a long time ago, and its still here, keep it up my guy!
Can you give me any instructions as to how you built the overpasses. What did you use to build UP? My son would LOVE to do that and he's getting some of these for Christmas. What do I need to get him to help him so he can build his track with with bridges as you did? Thanks!
Hi, the main incline information is in this video th-cam.com/video/eOINGrV6rbQ/w-d-xo.html Information regarding the bridge that was used can be found here: th-cam.com/video/vKCF3fHA1zg/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps :)
This right here, is my dream layout. I’m so jealous. I would only change one thing though, I would use the new Power Functions 2.0 ones instead of the older ones. I’m so jealous.
Go direct to LEGO if you're ordering enough for free shipping. LEGO LEDs are cheaper direct from LEGO, if you live near a city with a LEGO store go there as they will stock them.
Great layout; great video. There is a definite difference between a train set and a railway layout, and you surely created a railway layout! Even the platform of your station was long enough for the passenger train to actually stop at. Of course, I've just realised why my local Lego Store didn't have any track packs yesterday: the entire UK stock was in your house! Thanks for posting. John
Those are both very different trains. The Emerald Night is a classic and very nice looking steam engine, it is however a bit of a pain to run and needs modification before it can do that smoothly. The High Speed Passenger Train is a straight forward modern Inter-City type passenger train and runs straight out of the box, it's also much cheaper as it's still sold by LEGO and is no where near as collectable as the Emerald Night.
In the UK you can buy them from most major toy stores, or you can go to Amazon. This is an affiliate link to Amazon for the High Speed Passenger Train: amzn.to/2Dmor6A My trains that are running in this video have been modified, so are slightly different to the original sets available from LEGO. The trains are also available from the LEGO online shop.
I would like to get my son a good train set for Christmas- please tell me what is a decent set for a 10 year old? He’d like to put it together like if he could build one? Everything is so expensive hoping for a good one under $80….. thanks if you know!!!??

DunksterBricks how long does it take you to completely set the track up?
This setup took a few weeks of preparation and two weekends to film.

Nostalgia. I remember I used to use my mom’s phone and watch these videos. Seeing this after so many years is heartwarming.

My Emerald Night would not have enough traction to pull a tender and coach up these inclines. How do you get enough traction for these inclines?

I haven't modified the engines to cope with the slopes, I just try to make sure the slopes are smooth enough to let the train pass.
Still amazing!
I need lots of Lego trains like passenger, cargo and steam trains
Wow how many controllers does he need
just one, all the trains are set to different channels/sub channels :)

Nice layout and keep up the good work
Nice video.
I love the elevation changes with the tracks. this has given me some inspiration for my city when I add trains
Cool!
How can buy this type train ND truck
is it hard to build?
it did take a lot of planning and building.
Have you ever used any lepin within your train tracks?
Never, I would never use any of their parts. I prefer the real thing that's spent the money on the R&D.
I dare you to try to make a Jurassic world train setup

I wish I could have a bridge like that and make the white passenger train have 6 cars.
Nice 😺
that is good very good

Hi, where did you get extra passenger cars (white)?
I bought extra High Speed Passenger Train sets and built them from those.
