Finally!!! Florida is actually passing laws to help their citizens instead of bending over to the politicians corporate and religious agendas!!!

Remember on Reno 911 when they made the sheriff's office a safe space for unwanted children? People started dropping off their 17 year olds? lol

I used to help run a homeless shelter. We frequently had teens who's parents didn't want them show up at our door looking for a safe haven.
We also had one girl show up who's mother's boyfriend was trying to keep her without her consent after she turned 18. She locked herself in the 2nd floor bathroom, and climbed across a ladder into a neighbor's bedroom window to escape at 12:01 am on the morning of her 18th birthday. Her nextdoor neighbor was her friend, and helped her escape before her mom's boyfriend noticed her missing. He didn't want her to leave because he was a bigot and she was dating a black teen who came to our shelter when his parents kicked him out at 17.
That was 25+ years ago and they are still married. They ended up having 6 kids, and her husband (who got saved at our homeless ministry) has been an associate pastor at a fairly large church for about 20 years now.

This is an excellent idea. Many years ago, I had the misfortune of getting attacked by my ex during a custody exchange. I understand this will not prevent everything, and people still need to be very cautious of possible aggression. But this is a great option and will deter some abusive people away.

I have no doubt that Cassie was tormenting the hell out of the father who found no respite from the court’s or the sheriffs

Smh. Ya that'll do it. Let's not connect dots.
This is why women "don't just leave" because guess what of course he wants to kill me but my child's perfectly safe with the help of a sign....... Nope.

I agree. But it’s complicated. This is still a great idea, as not every case of abuse can be proven. And not every case is particularly violent, as DV can be a number of things.
I do think abusers should lose access to their children, especially if the abuse happened while kids were in the home. Some cases, the abuse is very obvious, but not always. This is when something like this could be useful.

Yeah this is a good idea but the court should be held accountable for that lady's death because every father knows how the court system screws them and causes mental breakdowns that leads to situations that occurred with that woman and the father that killed her
