My now husband lived alone when I met him which was a huge green flag for me…he was capable of cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, etc and now shares the load almost equally with me and I couldn’t imagine having to carry the entire load myself

Another mom who got divorced while pregnant and with a newborn. I love your content because I didn't think anyone else in the entire world would understand this very unorthodox scenario. I think you're handling the situation so well.
Honestly, divorced mom life rocks but it is very hard. I hate how nosey everyone is.

Thank you for being so honest about how you appear fine but you’re really struggling. I think so many of us do that and it’s not talked about enough. One food I ate today was French fries and chicken nuggets. I hope your mental health continues to get better and good luck in your fitness journey. Happy 6 months to baby girl. Just keep taking it one day at a time. You got this. You may not be okay right now but you will be okay one day 🙏🏽

Not exactly a red flag but some of the best advice my mom ever gave me is to think about who you want by your side in the most difficult moments. Who do you want next to you at your parents funeral? When your baby is sick? When you lose your job? Etc just who is that person who will be there for you with unconditional love and support. AND - are you able to be that person for them? Changed my perspective so much in dating! ❤

I married my Highschool sweetheart and we have two kids. I love my husband and he’s a good dad, but the mental load is not 50/50 or even close. I was just telling a friend the bar for men is so freaking low. Proud of you for defending your peace. You matter.

When I met my husband, he was so willing to step in and help. Like from day one. He goes above and beyond to make sure that I am not stressed out and when I feel overwhelmed, I just hand him the to do list and I know he will get it done (without an complaint). He is an actual angel. Constantly checking in on me and telling me how much he appreciates me. I feel like I have an equal partner and that is so rare to find!
I definitely feel that he is the only person I ever dated that was so caring and knew how to do things around the house. Everything that I am not good at, he is good at and vise versa. There are good men out there, it may just take some time to find them.

I have been a subscriber for so many years. Parasocial relationships are weird but it brings me so much joy that you made this decision because it’s what YOU needed. Your kids cannot be okay if you are not okay and getting divorced with a baby on the way is not something that many would do. This must have been such a hard decision and you are so strong for putting yourself first. Women always make all the sacrifice and I’m so glad you’re not sacrificing yourself by being in a relationship that is not serving you. Much love

i realized ive been wanting to listen to her say "im okay" because obviously we know a lot of things have happened and we support and i always see aspyn being so well put together but theres so much that we dont know (that we dont need to know) and there was always a part of me that is like "i see she is okay i just hope she actually is" i know here she says shes not okay truly but better and GOD! i respect the aknowledge bc thats fair, thats real and thats it and i appreciate that answer a lot♥
this transition on her content she speaks of since not showing her kids to "mostly just being me" i hope its also helping with her process, obviously making big changes these last months and even going through the difficulties of a divorce - so i mean rebuilding this space for you and to getting to learn about yourself and what youre comfortable with in this new era that i hope its filled with good things and that "im better" only gets better and better
we love you aspyn, i respect this so much

I think it’s good you realized early on to split because I waited twenty years which i regret. Staying in an unhealthy relationship is not good for the children. I have been apart now about 7’years and my focus is still my kids. Focusing on another man is just not my priority. My kids are. If Mr right shows up that will be a blessing but I am not at all looking.

I have been following forever and somehow we keep living similar lives 😅 I have 3 boys, got separated from their dad when my youngest was 5 months old. It’s been 2 years now and I’m finally starting to be mentally better, am trying to date, but mostly rediscovering who I am as a person and not just as a mom. It’s so easy to lose ourselves in these suffocating relationships and going through motherhood. Love you and your family. Anyone reading this who may be going through something similar, you’re doing the best you can, you are enough and will always be enough, taking time to take care of yourself isn’t selfish it’s being kind to yourself. You’re a great mom even when you think you aren’t. Even when things don’t go perfect your kids will always remember how loving, silly, and kind you are. ❤️

red flag: condescending comments. making you feel guilty for anything you say, a joke you make, trying to be playful, being your literal and authentic self. never being open to change. someone should love you for you and embrace new phases in your life. cheer you on when you went to try something new. someone in your corner. someone supportive. green flag: someone you can laugh with, and not having to hide even the smallest parts of yourself in fear of judgement.

You’re awesome girl, hang in there. And no you don't owe anybody any “tea” that’s what close friends and family are for! Good job being such a good mom even though it must be so hard and heartbreaking having a long relationship come to an end. It’s ok NOT to be ok but no one would ever know, you handled things very mindfully; quite demure. I’ve been watching since the very start and you’ve really been through so much in your life and you can take the time to feel all of it, the pain, the happiness, the heartbreak, the relief, the joy of motherhood, feel all the feelings. Hope you have a good week as a California girl! 🤍

Aspyn, I am a tattooer and I ask my clients at their appointments“who’s your fav par-asocial relationship” and jokingly, because of how long I’ve watched you and that we’re close in age, I always say you! Haha! Or Megan Thee Stallion…
Point is, I’ve watched you forever and I also got divorced- a red flag I wish I could give everyone dating is that whoever you’re with should whole heartedly stand up and defend their partner without being asked to.
I think of you often and hope you’re well- even though I know only the tiniest bit about you! Just know you have a lot of people wishing your whole family the best in this time.

I have lived with my partner for two years now and the mental load has been so heavy. I truly feel that even the good guys are complete man childs. My bf has been in therapy for a year now and is actively working on being better and having really good loving communication.
Most important dating advice. Do not, I repeat DO NOT date a guy that refuses to go to therapy and does not recognize how our current world is very much still oppressing women and wants to make a change. Not that he has to be an activist, just recognize the day to day and take responsibility for his own mistakes

I ate oatmeal for breakfast :) Not a red flag per se but I would say you need to have similar long term goals as your partner. So many people get married or date thinking that someday their values and dreams will align out of love. It doesn’t work like that. Even Jesus said, how can two walk together unless they agree? You need to be on the same page about family planning, religion, and career goals. You need to understand how you each want to live your life and what expectations you have of other. Communication,
communication, communication. If you can’t have hard conversations before you get married, don’t bother vowing “til death do us part”. I’m glad my husband and I had these conversations when we were dating. We knew what ours roles would be in the family, and while priorities can shift expectations and certain burdens can fall on the other, we’re a family. We communicate those needs and they get met. Learning to communicate is key, but you/your partner have to be willing to LISTEN.

I’ll never be able to explain the feeling I get watching your videos, especially since it’s been 10 years since I started! You’re truly one of my favorite TH-camrs but after listening to the podcasts you’ve been on, you have become one of my favorite people! 🥹💖

Apologies if you already answered this question. Are you able to link your makeup items in your next video or does anyone know what products Aspyn used? They look so good. 💖

If you do a podcast, the only thing I would say is don’t include the name sister in it. There are SO many podcasts with sister or sis in them and imo it doesn’t make them stand out. And it’s hard to find the podcast when searching unless it’s massive. But definitely such a good idea to do one!

Some red flags to look for in men as someone who was once engaged and had to break it off (and now i'm happily married to another man who is amazing!)
    1) If you confide in him about your worries or anxieties and his response is always "it's all in your head" that is a MAJOR red flag. At the time i thought it was "helpful" because i thought maybe he was trying to just help me realize my anxieties were real - but the truth is that he was just invalidating me and my feelings, and was responding with impatience rather than understanding.
    2) If he is always talking down about his family, friends, and your family/friends. You best believe if he has that many negative opinions about people close to him - he's got them about you and is most definitely talking down about you to others.
    3) When he says no to simple requests simply because he can. If he is simply just not willing to do something nice for you, and it doesn't have anything to do with his actual ability, that is a serious red flag.
I know some of these might seem obvious but I was trapped in a 3 year relationship of that, and I didn't see through any of it until a few months before we were supposed to be married.
