Glorious film. Thank you for posting. It is sad that the ethos of the company has changed over the years. Budgets today are more focused on branding, marketing, brand nurturing, and market share, at the expense of the product. Today, I do not hear the same type of statements from the rank and file. All I hear is marketing mumbo jumbo, and carefully managed public statements.
Thank you for reminding me of the good old days. Then, it used to be "race on Sunday, sell on Monday".

Very well said. I guess now its the same all over. Cars mainly are a commodity of reputation, and in a very hypocritical way. Though being Münchener, I have never owned a Bmw. But even today I can exactly remember the exhaust note and dynamic of a 3,0 Csi, 528i, and especially 323i. And I almost can touch the 'aire' of the time Mr. Stuck jun. was captured before the Feldherrnhalle at the Odeonsplatz. Well, I believe that's the old mans Blues. I better stop and put some Muddy Waters on. 😉

Wow!! A video starting with Bach’s “Cromatic Fantasia”. The music and those beautiful cars bring back some precious childhood memories. I personally think that BMW stopped building stunning cars in the early 2000s. I still own my e39 5 - series and will never sell it.

Hans Stuck is the King of Kool.
The BMW marketing was genius. In 1972 the ads read, "BMW -- drives over 100mph all day on the autohahn."
So, I bought a new 2002 and put almost 200k miles on it.

Thank you so much for posting. I know so many of the names of these legends but it's the first time I've seen any of them on video. Just amazing.

In an era when there car companies would race their car, to prove a point, cars are made to be driven whether in stock form, or in true racing/rally, you have some legendary race car drivers that gave their name, and prestige to the car makers.

Jochen Neerpasch was unbelievably young when he hold this position - just 37 years old.

So awesome. It's sad to see how modern BMW almost entirely lost the plot
