The song is big because Joost had the guts to open up...share his emotions. The interview feels very genuine, fragile and none-scripted. And that's why Joost has already won...no matter what the final ranking will be in Malmö 🇳🇱❤️
He's the sweetest, open and honest. He deserves EVERYTHING! His songs are so clever, they don't seem like it at first but if you pay attention it's mind-blowing. Really like the upbeat, happy, go-crazy songs with deep meaningful lyrics as a disguise. He really is an ARTIST. Really hope he wins, he deserves it.
Oooh, what a sweet interview. Joost answering right from his heart without overthinking what to say ! Hope your song at Eurovision will end up at the top of the list ! 🙂
What an echanting colourfull guy. He seems so hyped, excited and proud to represent his country at Eurovision. Didnt know him but the ending of his entry made me curious and then I found out his background and that the entry is a tribute to his late father. Took me a couple of listenings but its now one of my favourites. In many people' s opinion a joke entry but imo far from it. He has a story to tell and music has obviously been his way to deal with his loss. Again one of my favourites and will definately vote for him. Meanwhile wish him all the luck in the world & a great and fun rollercoast experience at Eurovision. Last but not least nice to see the Netherlands stepping outside their comfortzone this year ❤🎉
its so Dutch, its brutally gutpunchingly open and the hardstyle is the dutch cherry on top. Its a rollercoaster its the WHOLE themepark. Malmo needs the best insurance cos the roof is coming of that venue when Joost takes the stage.
Same here, there’s never been a Dutch entry that made me so proud and genuinely proud of Joost and my country and Europa! That I don’t care so much at all about where we finish because he is living it rn to the fullest and the world is just wild about it so . Damn I’m proud af.
Joost had a similar childhood as I did, lost my biological father even before i was born and we are the same age. I can see and relate what he is going through and I am so happy of the things he is truly doing right now.
Believe it or not, but when I first heard Joost Klein would represent my country at Eurovision, I had no idea who he was. But after I heard and saw his Europapa video I was sooooo enthusiastic that I couldn't stop listening to the song and watching reaction videos here on TH-cam. Maybe he doesn't have the best voice, but the song is amazing, personal and also with a universal message. For me he has already won because he will be on stage for Eurovision as he had promised his dad. Thank you for this interview @wiwibloggs 🙏🌈🎧🦄
Wow what a loveable character! He’s very open and captivating to watch, I really hope he can win this year, televote won’t be a problem but juries may be tough!
Unfortunately The 🇳🇱s didnt qualify last year… but they came back stronger then ever! Getting from 22nd place to 5th place by the bookmakers, going viral, breaking so many records and going from ballads to something very Dutch. That to me is amazing and I hope they will win 🥇
I am from Malta but have been living in the Netherlands for almost 13 years now. I feel honoured Joost wore that t-shirt ❤ As someone who isnt the biggest Eurovision festival fan, I cannot wait for it this year and to see what Joost does!
I *_love_* this song! I keep playing it over and over. It wakes me up, gets me bopping. I _love_ that he's speaking Dutch, even though I don't understand Dutch. I love that he's so open with his past and his loss. The burning house at the end - when I first saw it, I immediately thought that it was symbolic for the loss he went through. And I love the contrast between the song itself and that sad coda. Goed gedaan, jongen!
Jeezzzz in tears again. He makes me laugh through my tears. I love this guy. I'm so glad that he's enjoying it. That's all I wish for him ❤️🩷🧡💛💚💙🩵💜🤎🖤🩶🤍. Joost, je bent KEIGAAF JONGUHHHHH😆😁
This is is not only music, this is art. So many double messages. It makes me happy, gives me energy and makes me sad as wel. How is that posible. Respect
Prachtig hoe Joost dit heeft uitgelegd. Niet blijven hangen in het verleden maar ook plaats maken voor nieuwe herinneringen... Beautiful and true ❤💯✨ Thank you Joost 💙
How privileged you, and we are, with this interview. Joost is our HERO. And with a wonderful charismatic personality. Looking forward to the staging in Malmö. Success Joost 🍀 You already won the hearts of Europe and mine ❤️
Thank you Joost for the great song and the whole team for creating a masterpiece 🎉🎉!! So happy also to see the representation of the Dutch gabber scene! Finally some real Dutch heritage to represent the Netherlands in the Eurovision!!❤❤👍🇳🇱🇳🇱
A fine interview with a great artist. The breakdown at the end of the song makes me emotional and helps me a lot to accept my mothers dead. This funny guy with his funny song with in the end a deeper meaning will get my 12 points. ❤
@william Huge respect and thanks for arranging and doing this interview ... good questions! good energy! Very well done! And very happy with the way Joost could explain everything about the background!
i was explaining this burning to ppl the whole time his home his castle the past and move on... im so glad i was right in feeling his message only would have loved to know if the 4 girls and the gabber dancers will be on stage in malmo
You are right about the odds and the fan rankings, but let's be honest, this song is mostly liked in northern Europe. The rest hardly likes it. The views don't mean anything to me personally, it is very logical that this singer has many views. He is very famous throughout Nordic Europe.
Now I want him to win more than ever. The guy gets how tough life is. He inspired me so much and I think is healing Europe and peoples lives without knowing it ❤️❤️❤️🧡🧡💚💚
What a nice interview. But then again, I think Joost has got something over him that makes it easy to get a nice interview. Sincerity, humor, gooffiness and seriousness, all switching very rapidly, sometimes even within a sentence. Way to goooo!
watching this after he was disqualified is so sad, but he has won my heart
❤️
The song is big because Joost had the guts to open up...share his emotions. The interview feels very genuine, fragile and none-scripted. And that's why Joost has already won...no matter what the final ranking will be in Malmö 🇳🇱❤️
What a genuine and creative guy.. if he doesn't win the competition, he has already won our hearts.
❤
It’s sad he couldn’t play😢
He's the sweetest, open and honest.
He deserves EVERYTHING!

Hello, Poland here. We love you @joostklein1 ‼️
I've loved seeing Europapa shoot up the bookmakers' odds and the fan rankings. Loved since first listen, one of my 4 favourites this year! ♥
❤
You are right about the odds and the fan rankings, but let's be honest, this song is mostly liked in northern Europe. The rest hardly likes it. The views don't mean anything to me personally, it is very logical that this singer has many views. He is very famous throughout Nordic Europe.
We love an artist who can take a huge risk and bare their soul to the world and then be so humble about it 😭🖤

Great video! I hope this reaches all the people who didn't got the real message from his Eurovision song.
