I live about a half an hour from the Pan Am Mainline in Portland, and I gotta say, I don’t think I ever get tired of seeing the local goods services go by. Best way I’d describe it is that it doesn’t make me blue when I see any Pan Am locomotives regardless of the livery.
Not to mention they always drive by slowly enough to get a nice loooooong view! 🤣 Though I live along MBTA/Pan Am trackage, so they have to hustle a little more down here! Seriously though, always such fun variety in their consists, especially with all the new Dash 8's in their various stages of repaints and their older car fleet.

Looks like Pan Am has a few spare locomotives to loan with the collapse of the Hoosac Tunnel! Always nice to see them somewhere other than home tracks out here in Mass.
Also I absolutely loved the pacing/music/scenes of the intro, especially the long hold on the sunrise!

Yeah, this was shot in 2017 when the last Circus train was in town.

Ya I haven't seen anyone running high-nose anymore. That was the most unexpected thing to see.
This was shot in 2017.. The CSX power was for the last Circus train that was in town at the time.

Just so you know, the video was great, music and all. Now stay safe AC. Also I have CSX AC44AH in HO scale from scaletrains. I still haven't gotten around to detailing it with all its mu cables, windshield wipers and such. Maybe now is a good time, since i am inside more lol.
Meant to say I have that CSX 3338 AC44AH in HO scale. Sheesh. This is what happens when you work overnight multiple nights in a row.

Did you know Pan Am Airlines started in Key West? Ironically the little office later became Kelly’s (owned by Kelly McGillis from Top Gun.)

Ok I have to ask a stupid question that’s probably been asked many times, what is that constant sputtering sound that I hear from diesel locomotives and seems in this video to be coming mainly from the high hood? Air moisture purge?
