The rendition of John Williams (1964) was my reference on guitar, just like Hillary Hans playing on violin. You manege to bring out all perfection but also captured the spiritual timeless universal divine essence of this masterpiece. A new standard as reference point. You are a true musician, one of the few if you know what I mean.

Partita No. 3 for solo violin in E major, BWV 1006, is a violin partition composed by Johann Sebastian Bach around 1720. The piece is structured in seven movements. The prelude is the most played movement in the work. It requires advanced bowing technique is fast (allegro) and is composed almost exclusively of sixteenth notes. It includes passages in « campanella » effect in which the same note (E) is successively played on two different strings open and adjacent with fingering, therefore with a different timbre and a resonance which can evoke a small bell. This melody would probably be the composer's most beloved. Listening to it differently is also beautiful. Music gives meaning to sound, from meaning to sound, is born emotion. Bis repetita *Lucien*

especially on guitar this piece is very diffucult to play so fast and she still makes it sound soooo effortless! compare with young hillary hahn playing the same piece - they seem to have a similar mindset! and at 2:35 she starts to add additional lines to the music. extremly well done - what a pleasure to listen to!

The whole presentation is a wonderfully emotive experience, with the music conveying a pinnacle of musicality and the artist displaying the human effect of immersion in the greatness of J.S. Bach. There are many artists who play a tribute to this Prelude, but Stephaie Jones is far and away my favorite.

I enjoyed the music, but you were the show. I'm working on the piano version and I want to experience the emotional intensity that this piece provides, and which you obviously felt. When I grew up, Bach was played with digital perfection, but I'll bet he was a really a fun guy that knew how to put life in his music.
I keep playing this piece over and over and every time I find some sublime expressions. I also share it with every friend on my address book. I love this piece so much that I want it to be played the day I have to cross the line to Heaven.

I listened to it again and compared ist to some "classical interpretations" - and I find it obvious how classical guitar playing has evolved, because Mrs. Jones puts so much more work in intelligent dynamic differences. That makes it more understandable, which parts of the music have important musical content and others are more some sort of transitions betweens parts. And, by the way, it sounds more fluent without sounding rushed. In earlier days it seemed to be enough just playing it as even as possible. No disrespect for that, but it's the sense of musical evolution that things change and you don't have to stick always to the past, saying, "this was the best interpretation for all times".
