GOOD LUCK WITH THE AWARDS...SO GLAD TO SEE THIS TUTORIAL...I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOUR FANCY HAT TUTORIAL. AND I HOPE WE'LL GET A CHANCE TO PURCHASE YOUR BOOK HERE IN THE US AS WELL. STAY BLESSED AND THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!
I just print the wings on a A4 cardboard paper. The scrow is just a strip of fondant. The points I had to let dry for couple hours. You can get all this info on my book www.veruscawalker.com
Querida veruska, eres grande! Gracias por todo lo que nos compartes, :) la calavera me recordo ese maravilloso curso que hiciste en España y que tuve la fortuna de poder ir y conocerte, un abrazo
Hi could you explain about doing 3d cake like using wood and other tools that aren't food safe that the cake stores don't sell?. And is it safe to use for cakes and what do you do to make sure it's food safe thank you
The wood dowel is an important part of structure, without it it is impossible to build a gravity defying cake or even a tall tier cake. As you notice on my video my cakes are inside a pvc pipe so the cake it is not in contact with the wood dowel. If you are not comfort in having the pvc pipe touching your cake you just have to wrap it with plastic film or flower tape. The Styrofoam I use as no chemicals on it, (it is not flammable) and I also use a cake board between, so there is no contact of the cake with the Styrofoam. Hope this help you little bit
Hi Verusca! As I've told you before, I love, love your work. Thank you so much for being my inspiration. Recently, I decided to practice some of your techniques, and made a popsicle cake for my cousins birthday. I was sooooo nervous making the structure, but at the end, it came out great and everybody loved it!! I'm sooo proud of myself. Again, thank you for being such a wonderful cake artist and human being.
Beautiful work as always!!! Is there any way you can make a split tiered cake where it’s split down the middle and the sides are leaning away from each other? Thank u so much!!
Here is a link for a great & simple tutorial. th-cam.com/video/BRiYZNPzRKcI/w-d-xo.html (I would recommend to use a piece of Styrofoam on the shape of a wedge "like the ones you use as a door stopper" at the bottom instead of two big balls of fondant). xoxo
If I wanted to add the top heart on sideways, I'd just need to do some of the side in styrofoam right?! Hope my question made sense. I know you've taught this class a lot but you make it look effortless, as always! Thanks for the variations-so helpful!
It is just a strip of fondant. The points I let dry for couple hours before insert on the cake. You can get all this info on my book www.veruscawalker.com
You would cut it with a knife Connie. The PVC pipe is hot glue to the the point of the heart (Styrofoam platform that we created) So it wouldn't fall off. Plus each cake is independently secure in position by the PVC and spacer. So I could even cut the skull first and the heart would still be suspended in position.
Thanks a million
I learned alot🌱🙋♀️💟

How does one go about cutting a cake like this? Seems that once the cake is all off of one side the other side would fall off.

Plus each cake is independently secure in position by the PVC and spacer. So I could even cut the skull first and the heart would still be suspended in position.
