congrats on that pb rainbow... sweet fish...shout out to Manitoba for providing a great Master Angler program and slot limits to protect their fisheries... our state fisheries are so slow to catch on when it comes to protecting our fisheries... so much "fill the freezer with the largest fishes possible" mentality going on leaves many bodies of water pointless to fish for years here in the USA

Lol yeah we get up to 4 feet of ice on some lakes, I just haven’t taken the extension off from last winter! Thanks man, our master threshold is actually 20” for Rainbows so I was crazy pumped about this one!
8 inches of ice and you already have the extension on? Do you just leave it on? I've never needed one where I've fished, though occasionally northern Wisconsin gets ice as thick as 4 feet and they need extensions up there. Down by me I think the thickest I've seen the ice get is 2 foot and usually doesn't get over a foot and a half thick. We had ice here for a week or two in November but now we're waiting again!
