You've got to give credit, where credit is due: It puts out it's rated power with no problems. I don't usually expect such performance from an inexpensive generator like that. Good find!
I have a 2cycle generator from Harbor freight with 800 to 900W. Would you have information on setting the timing of the generator I have had a problem on mine, which I believe is the timing. It jerks the starter cable out of my hand when starting. It may be trying to fire be it is supposed to. Thanks! Regards, Robert Fern
I agree, honda is the way to go....this HF gen is good for someone without any electrical knowledge or skills who just needs a few lights on for serval hours not sitting the dark after a storm.
I have this same 800 watt generator (except mines red) and a Honda eu1000i both are great little generators, just make sure you put a quality ngk or autolite spark plug in the HF generator and go over and tighten all bolts on it, also I'd purchase the 1-2 year warranty so you know for sure you'll get your $88 worth out of it lol
I've got one that has been over loaded and over heated more than once every time I think I've killed it after cool down it started ready for more abuse LOL
Hi. i've got 2 of these things. They are way over rated. The actual output under load, is about 500 watts. Running at 3600 rpm, with a 4.5 amp 120 volt 3/8 drill plugged in, is all this thing can operate, with a decent voltage. 900 is wayyy toooo high (for marketing purposes, and greed)

Good test. Thx for this
Will something like this run a projector and a sound bar all at once for an outside movie night

schickmann You are right, surprisingly the runtime on the HF 2stroke is pretty decent. Thanks for the comment, please share and subscribe.
If u run it full load @900watts. How much is the fuel consumption??? (liter/hour)

Why Not show AMPS ???
No reason, Amps can be easily calculated from the watts. Thanks for the comment, please Share & Subscribe.
and this class is how you fry a generator!!
Ted May If it cant take it we don't want it, Thanks for the comment please share and subscribe.
