One card I've enjoyed on Hawkeye is directed force, especially on explosive arrows. I'm playing him in aggression, two handed, and he has been shredding. I run godslayer, combat training, fluid motion, and specialized training which gets him up to +8 attack, add an arrow and you're looking at ~11 per turn. I usually keep out blade for physical sinks and readies with earth's mightiest heroes. Now obviously this wouldn't work in solo because of the complete lack of thwarting but if you only judge heroes off true solo I feel like you miss some of the more niche heroes.
Excited to see your RoRS playthrough.

I haven't played Directed Force yet. I've added it to a few decks but I always end up cutting. Have you tried Sharpshooter in that deck? It will only apply to your ranged attacks (arrows obviously), will only deal 1 additional damage MOST of the time, and chews through your deck quicker, but it stays on the board and doesn't exhaust.
If I play two-handed (which I've started doing with Arkham Horror, but not MC for some reason) I'll try this out!!

Unfortunately explosive arrow is not an attack and so does not benefit from Directed Force. You are right about missing out on some niche heroes, or at the very least pigeon holing them into very specific builds, typically Justice or Leadership. The only heroes I felt I was really missing out though were Thor and Valkyrie who thrive and are fun when they are in aggression but then struggle solo. Other than getting bored of Justice I have managed well enough with everyone else or disliked them enough that I didn't care (Hulk and Drax for example).

Interesting that it's morphed into what I consider the "other Justice archetype" - "Good Stuff". +5 allies 3 Clear the Area 2 One Way or Another, one economy support, Endurance, Skilled Investigator, 3 doubles. Under Surveillance, which is missing here.
That leaves about 8-10 cards for tailoring. More damage or thwart events or economy if you are short there, some confuse if you want to flip and have none in your kit. Heroic Intuition is often good. A prep card if you have Coulson (who is still arguably the best ally). I expect some player side schemes would be core but I have not played around with them in Justice yet. I think they are pretty hero dependent too. Beat Cops if you can take efficiency over tempo.
I 'm surprised by Turn the Tide here, especially since it's conditional, since damage is what Hawkeye does best, I do love it with Ms Marvel since it can be 5 damage for free then 3, and she does NOT do damage best.
The allies were very limited 3 years ago, and made this deck very samey, but now you can use a different set depending on your hero and some have other cards to support them, or that are just faction restricted - Web Warriors, Champions, X-men, Guardians. (SHIELD is a whole other thing of course).
There are probably other justice archetypes; there seems to be a confuse the world one I tried briefly but did not get along with. There are also probably other builds for MP play. Overwatch seems amazing if it duplicates a thwart of 6+, but I will never know for sure :)

Great feedback! I actually never play Under Surveillance lol. I want to win before threat on the main becomes a problem, and Justice typically allows that already, so I don't "waste" (as I see it LOL) a card slot that could be doing something else. And then if I lose because of threat I lose, no big deal.
Turn the Tide was one of those cards I kept flip-flopping on. I kept them in (and may end up cutting them again) because he can shoot 1 arrow and then either Basic attack or shoot another arrow. So really I just wanted to get a second and even third attack off after some thwarting as well, and if I have a Justice Served on the table I also get to ready.
I LOVE Overwatch, and that's part of the plan for Rise of Red Skull. Against Red Skull, One Way or Another is useless, so they'll be replaced by Overwatch!
Also, I mention you in tomorrow's video :)

@@solomarvelchampion Under Surveillance can be a one shot thwart card but it also trivialises a load of scenarios, which may not be a good thing admittedly. EG Rhino who only really beats you by getting a lucky Advance now needs two. It's also great in some like Ultron where the stage 1 is much softer than stage 2 and almost always flips sooner or later.
In general I don't try to win before threat becomes a problem it's constantly being managed. I usually try to take control of the game then burn the villain down and Justice is the best for the first part although it is probably the worst for the second :)
I've played against Redskull with OWOA because I am too lazy to change my decks.
Currently I am using loads of side schemes and healing from United We Stand against Hela with only 1 stage...

@jonathanpickles2946 I've never played any of the "X = Villain Stage..." cards, but United We Stand looks like it may be worth a try! I'm testing a Captain Marvel deck right now and I may try it in the Get Ready slot. That deck strives for the "push-kill" more than any of more than any of my other decks (and I only play standard), so maybe not great in that deck, but I'll see how it goes!

Thank you! Hawkeye through Rise of Red Skull won't come out until next month, but this deck tore it apart!

Great advice to definitely play cards before you write them off. There have been numerous examples but one just out of the Hawkeye pack for me is Ready For Action. I didn’t think it looked very good but when using it I ended up really liking it. You just really don’t know til you try it and see how everything ends up playing out.
Yes definitely play the campaign on the channel!!!

Ready for Action is a great example, because although I preach "play it before you write it off" it's a card I definitely wrote off early (probably because I feel it should be a Protection card). I just finished the build for my Valentine's Day game though and it was one of the first cards I went to for that particular matchup.
I already started recording RoRS :)
