I have a 2020 Encore gx, it's a rough ride considering what I was in prior to getting this SUV, increasing speed rate is Great but hard shifting, awesome turning radius, I back up better without using the backup camera. Love that the front passenger seat folds down flat for hauling long items, I love the AWD, dislike the auto stop, dislike the auto braking but nice feature for distracted drivers. Back seats are not meant for long legged teenagers. This model would be perfect for a single adult traveling, a college student, or an elderly couple. Not much room for family! This is my opinion in the 2 yrs I have had my Buick encore gx 2020 model.
My Ford C-Max Energi was recently hit and totaled, so I’ve been researching compact suvs of the same nature and the Encore immediately swooned me. I always loved the look and size of the Chevy Trax, but the Chevy vehicles never lived up to the same bells and whistles my Ford had. I’m keen on getting a GM motor now bc I’m not necessarily a Ford person and this Buick speaks to me on such a deep level. The size is perfect to me and they look so sleek! I think the prices for the GX Select and other packages around my area a really nicely priced, a huge bonus! Thank you for this upload and in depth look, the bells and whistles in this speak to me way more than the Chevy equivalent. (I will say my little Ford was pretty luxurious, reliable and so so spacious inside. I absolutely LOVED the huge windshield and corner turning windows on the front.)
I just purchased my 2022 Buick Encore GX on Tuesday, July 19th. I'm pleased with my purchase and it's equipped with 98% of what I wanted, ei., easy to navigate infotainment center, blind side warning, automatic emergency braking, remote engine start, SiriusXM, etc. The mileage is great, 29/31. The cargo space satisfies my needs. The audio quality is good. The braking system is very good. The driver's seat is extremely comfortable, firm, and provides great back support which I need because of lumbar issues. I purchased black on black which is exactly what I wanted. Needless to say, I'm satisfied with my purchase.
Awesome review. My lease is almost up for my 2019 GMC Terrain SLE and I'm considering leasing a 2022 Buick Encore GX. Very helpful in explaining the pros and cons!
Rented a 2021 in LA. Was surprised how quick it felt. Took bumps and potholes like a champ. Tech worked well and I liked the high seat position and panoramic moonroof. I don’t think there was a button inside the vehicle to open the tailgate which was strange. I also liked the ability to open the rear doors with a touch without opening the front doors first. Good storage in the console too. I’m impressed.
The button to open the tailgate is on the drivers door by the bottle holder. It actually looks like a knob since it also acts as the height adjustment but if you push it in it will open the rear hatch. Definitely a strange location but it is there.
@@marco.morel04 oh my god. I didn’t know this. For the longest time I just thought I didn’t have one. I guess I could’ve checked the owners manual but I thought I did before several times. Apparently I’m blind. Thanks for this info
Nice review, but it is a stretch to compare this to the X1. I keep coming back to the Encore GX in my research for my new ride. It is a beautiful vehicle and seems to compete with the CX-30. The price is high for the loaded AWD drive version, but the local Buick dealer is nine miles from my home. The nearest Mazda is an hour drive one way. If I paid more for the Buick, it would be that dealership proximity factor.
Pricing on these are great and value is why I compared it to BMW, this way you see the true saving plus this is luxury so if fits that category. Congratulations either way you go but are great vehicles 👍🏻
The next level up would be the Buick Envision which is an awesome vehicle for value and luxury, here is a review I did: th-cam.com/video/BOyCwMfdTRI/w-d-xo.html
Thank you, 4 years 50k warranty helps add to luxury, Chevy only has 3 years 36k. Buick gives loaner vehicles, Chevy doesn’t unless it’s over night or 3/4 hours in service. Buick is listed under Cadillac, Chevy is the lowest level of the GMC brand, this is sounding like 2nd class luxury to Cadillac without the price 👍🏻
@@HawkeyeRides it is definitely luxury to people like myself that cannot afford more. I just picked up mine this morning. I’m in heaven compared to what I’ve had in the past. Your review is great. I wanted black on black but it was a bit more than I could do. I have exactly what’s in this video and I love it!
Currently have an x1 and want to trade in before warranty expires. Came upon this cutie. Seems to have a good value with standard features. Even a loaded awd with panoramic roofwill not hurt your pockets comparing to the rivals. Is the ride smooth? I’m so excited to test drive this soon.
Thanks for the review, I am 6’0 and am really thinking about this car, for whatever reason i like it. Was going to get a Taos or Tiguan but think the reliability will be better in this. Looking at a select but with ST pkg, how do you feel about the beige, only thing from me picking it up
It’s a easy color to keep clean, I like the summit white and Quicksilver Metallic. The Sport Touring grille will look good with that color. The Taos is a good vehicle too, that is a hard choice, I reviewed one last week, SE in a pure gray. VW will have more updated tech, both are close with speed and interior space. If you have a chance do a test drive on both the same day. I think Buick is more luxury but VW has stepped up there game a lot 👍🏻.
It’s a smaller suv, maybe you want to look at the Envision, but overall it does have great value. Here’s a link to the Envision: th-cam.com/video/BOyCwMfdTRI/w-d-xo.html
I don't understand why people would choose a compact SUV/crossover vs. a sedan. I have a 2021 Subaru Legacy Touring XT. Its is 400 lbs heavier, 105 more horsepower and 3 seconds faster 0-60 than that little Buick. Plus its AWD. Even with all that its still rated at the same combined MPG as the Encore GX (28 MPG). Oh, forget - people want to "sit up high" so they buy crossover instead of a sedan. Makes no sense.
This is a great point but this is the time we are in. SUV’s that are not true SUV’s and the vehicles are slower then older models. I do like the value it brings for a luxury model but more power would be great 👍🏻
Comparing a Subaru to a buick is actually laughable I drove a brand new Subaru Forester 3 weeks a go for 3 days on vacation it seriously couldn't get out of its own way!! The drive feel and handling was absolutely terrible but then again it's a Subaru I should have expected it to be terrible!!

Great review man. The wife loooves this car and we’re going Saturday to trade in her jeep compass 2014… she’ll love her new Buick
Congratulations when you guys get it, Buick makes a great SUV 👍🏻

Nice review, but Buick hasn't really been considered a luxury brand since the 1970's. Now they are barely a step above Chevy.

Front seat bottoms very narrow and squeak at 7k miles.
I would take it to the dealership and have them fix any problems you may have 👍🏻
So you didn't tell us the price?
They range from around 26k-32k 👍🏻
Thanks

Mazda also has manual seats but that is a great point
