    Almost Feb. 2024, and I’ve had my 7x7 shed in place since September. It has thus far laughed at the worst Vancouver has had to offer: heat, rain and some 14” of snow.
    So thus far terrific recommendation!
    Cheers
    Richard

      Thanks for your comment, Richard. My experience has been similar to yours. I'll be doing a short follow up in Spring.

    Thank you sir! Received this shed second hand, disassembled from a relative that moved away. Of course there's no instructions 😅 but your video helped greatly 😊

      Thanks. You should be able to download a pdf of the instructions from the Rubbermaid site if you need.

    Great job sir. Glad you didn't let pride stand in the way and asked for help. Trying to do that job on your own could have resulted in a run to the hospital at best and broken bones and more at worst. Be well and enjoy the extra storage.

      LOL. Thanks. Yes, safety is an important factor for sure. Enjoy your summer.

    Just bought the same beast. Will be installing it this weekend. Hoping it goes smoothly and lasts through our cold and wet winter too!
    Wish me luck! 😂
    Looking forward to seeing your review!

      Good luck! Remember, patience is a virtue. LOL. It'll be interesting to see how it stands up over time. I'm really not expecting any issues though. Have a great day, Richard.

      @@8thdecade Thanks! We are expecting some rain today…after a bone dry summer … so will need to postpone my head start on it! 😂

    the base/pad is the most important part of the assembly. I used tamped paver stone, but it isn't level and it's causing issues. I recommend constructing the wooden sub-floor base. Also, a magenetic wrist strap will help hold 12+ screws so you don't have to keep going back to the bag. I'm thinking of adding 2x 5W computer fans powered by a solar panels to move air through the shed (push-pull configuration)

      Agreed. Unless the base of a structure is correct, nothing else can be. I went with the crushed gravel and pavers for two reasons. 1. The cost of building with pressure treated wood here is prohibitive. 2. We live in a rain forest area so I thought having drainage would serve better. Time will tell if my decision was correct and efforts have been justified. LOL.
      Thanks for the wrist strap suggestion. As for adding on, I've installed solar powered LED lights over the door outside and another one inside. Your idea of adding fans would certainly be helpful during our hot summers.

    Looks great! What’s the size on the pavers?

    • @8thdecade
      @8thdecade  ปีที่แล้ว

      The pavers are 16 inch from Home Depot.

    A big box store says this can take up to 118mph winds. What is your opinion on that? (We can have straight-line winds of 60mph plus on a regular basis)
    Thanks for the video.

      I really can't speak to this with authority as I haven't experienced that kind of winds with mine. It does have the ability to attach it to a solid base which would certainly assist with the ability to withstand stronger winds. Wish I could offer more.

    What do I do with the 4 anchor holes located on the 2 floor panels

    • @8thdecade
      @8thdecade  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Excellent question. I didn't do anything as my shed is quite protected from harsh winds and has a lot of weight being stored inside. My recollection is that one would simply drive some large screws or bolts into a solid base if needed.

    Would a riding tractor be able to go inside. Worried about weight.

    • @8thdecade
      @8thdecade  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your question. I don't see anything from Rubbermaid on any weight restrictions but I expect it depends greatly on the foundation under the shed. I wouldn't expect any problems parking a riding tractor with the base I used. You just want to make sure the base is absolutely level and solid and that the mower will fit the inside dimensions.

    Hi, did you screw down the shed to the paver?

    • @8thdecade
      @8thdecade  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I didn't. It's protected from wind by the surrounding trees. Also, the items I store in it are quite heavy. Looks like a relatively easy process to do though. Thanks for your question. Have a great day.

      The floor panels aren’t screwed to the floor. What stops the assembly from moving around

    My shed was a nightmare to put together. We are very handy and it is a piece of crap. Also the doors don’t shut

      I understand your frustration. My experience was the exact opposite. Is yours a Rubbermaid Big Max?
