I have one I put up 26 years ago. It has started squeaking and sound like cracking in the bearings. Is it fixable? It has run almost 24/7 since I installed it. It has been a great fan and I would like to repair it if possible since I know it is better than anything I can buy today at a big box store.
It takes some effort, but the bearings can be replaced. Would be worth the effort though; you're absolutely correct about there not being anything available that's as good of a quality.
Seems that the blades sag down a bit most likely from the grommets
The screws attaching them to the irons are loose, which I imagine is most of the issue.. But the grommets could definitely be contributing as well..
Can it be flush mounted I’m planning on buying one
Yes
Jordan U ok

How do you wire it
Black and black/white striped to black, white to white, green to ground.
