On an unrelated note, Daniel Winkler has a used, white color, late model Honda hatch back for sale. Runs well. The radio works, but it could use a new paint job.
Daniel Winkler is one of the nicest, down to earth people I’ve ever met, and if he was a janitor, it wouldn’t matter to me,him and his wife Karen are great people who I consider good friends
Beautiful craftsmanship and awesome capabilities. Those knives went through glass and steel and didn't seem to mind to much but it hurt to watch. I'm going to have to get me one.
Hiya Danny Boy I seen you been busy since ive been away from knives for the last 12 years or so . i can still remember your movie knives came out .. for last of the MO " . them knives ya got are a couple real sweet ladys ya got there .. be safe and .. stay sharp .. Don Shipley
God damn, those are some awsome knives and axes, but being a car guy it kills me to see that old civic being hacked up like that. That thing looked like it was in great shape. Oh well, I guess theres probably a million more just like it.
In Europe most cars come with a central locking system, which make it so much easier to access the car. Just saying it, although the Winkler unlocking system looks like good work out 💪🏻
its not just about holding an edge any knife in the field will need to be touched up performance of a steel is not only about how long the blade stays sharp
I just ordered a WK II Combat Axe. Does anyone know if it will come with the point beveled like in the video? I've seen it both beveled point and full Thickness mildly beveled point.
@@Bear-nu8xm here's a video of Daniel explaining his process when making knives. Includes a good, long explanation as to why he uses 80CrV2 for all but 2 or 3 models he produces. Safe to say this man has forgotten more about bladesmithing than you and I will ever learn. th-cam.com/video/q14YL0CuDqY/w-d-xo.html
I named my Johnson “winkler”. Sounds harmless but boy does it perform! And I’m not even gonna talk about the penetration. Ahhhhh see what I did there?!
I see Daniel has the exact same problem I have! Dunlap Disease! When you belly has done lapped over your belt and you have to pull your belly back to get to your knife! It happens to the best us us Daniel! My solution was to go to a dangler style sheath! Ha!
The next 100 purchasers of a Winkler knife will be entered into a drawing for a white, compact, slightly used Honda (some repairs needed).
Red green + Duct tape=fixed good enough!

I’m here because Jack Carr, retired Navy SEAL, writes glowingly of your knives in his novels. Maybe one day I’ll splurge on one of your knives. 😁
Success is a decision away…
Remind me not to park outside Winkler Knives!

This is an 81 Honda! How dare you!
Such sick tools
81 Honda: That’s why, if 81 Benz, Saab, Volvo would be a different story 😅
That WK II Rescue Axe is the most bad ass shit I've ever seen.
I just revised my Christmas wish list.
I'll need to save $650 for the WK II Breaching/Rescue Axe.
Beautiful craftsmanship and awesome capabilities. Those knives went through glass and steel and didn't seem to mind to much but it hurt to watch. I'm going to have to get me one.
That was a nice old Civic...
Damn boy that 80CrV2 goes to work. Loving the cold steel-esk torture test. Would like to see a torsional rigidity, and maybe deflection test.
I can already see the craigslist ad:
"Ran when parked. Needs minor body work. Perfect for restoration. No lowballs I know what I have"
Poor little Honda. That was a classic.
I was thinking the same thing.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn Daniel! Lol. Winkler's GOAT. hands down nothing like them. Obsessed

Those are some serious pieces of steel
Anthony Norton Wondered exactly that myself!
I really like that utility knife I like the sawback and blade profile wish I had one when I was in the navy.
Im sold.
I knew that I should not have parked my “classic” Honda there! Dammit
This is what REAL top tier guys use.
Lol. Morons
Dawg why u gotta do the Honda Civic like that?
If this isn't a great demo video for Winkler knives & axes... :) No wonder "special teams" use his axes and knives. :)
Winkler loves his job
Very nice thank you. I hope to someday own one of your hawks or knives.
oh my god! i need that belt knife, so friggin sweet, just perfect!
My favourite part is think back to his interviews. Mr. Winkler is really mild mannered.
Can opener design is genius.

What model of mechanix gloves is he using?
That honda is a collector's item! Don't do it, Daniel!
I can't decide between the belt knife and the spike.
I wish mine came this sharp
And that my friends is how you fix the lock on a hatchback.
im so impressed

We get it, tools work flawlessly. No need to destroy such a beautiful car
Impressive!!!!! 😮😮😮😮
Thank you.
Dang I wanted that old civic xD
It's like watching some demented madman's attack on all the inanimate objects that have given him the most of his life's pain...
very very impressive.

Did you just sign your comment with a logistics unit? Lol
what did that honda ever do to you?
You’ve earned my money

YOUR A BOSS!
That was awesome :D subbed

So which one would you guys go with for combat/tactical? Utility?
That poor Honda Civic……😢

We get it, he hates Honda’s!
combat axe is sexy time to save up
Badass
Jack Carr The Terminal List
Did it mention the blade steels used?
He uses 80CrV2 almost exclusively
@@snwbrdbum14 nice, thanks

What is your life worth?

guess he's not much of a Honda guy
Fun fact: this was his ex wife's car on their anniversary 🤣
Take my money!! Plz!!
This guy sure hates import cars.
0:45 anyone else see the knife blade bend way more than it should..? Maybe it's just me idk..
My mom's poor car🥲
Pfft. Justify the price tag busse went out business for a reason. And they made the best of the best. Still no justification for the price.
Reminds me of a shitty cold steel demo
over priced junk
+monkeyboy8me Why are you saying that?
+benchmstr Nope sorry not a troll. Just not impressed with the knives and the price.
I own several of these knives. They're nothing special.
They do have great re sale value though lol
@@huskerluva really?Im looking to get a winkler belt knife, any suggestion?
These are hard use knives that come sharp enough to shave a puckered butthole.
I highly recommend.
