Just burned my 30 acres Saturday. I do it every two years. The deer and turkey love the new growth that comes up.

    Absolutely Excellent!
We’ve dropped close to six acres of cedars this winter, and still putting them on the ground. I have a forestry mulcher coming when things dry to help make fire breaks and access roads. We plan to continue our hack and squirt TSI projects this summer. We hope to burn around 15 acres in the winter of 2025! We’ve enjoyed having you on the TV in our home for over 10 years.

Great information, thanks for sharing. We did our first woods burn of 26 acres on February 13th this year. I took the classes to become certified but decided to hire a contractor to oversee our first prescribed burn while I participated. Everything went according to the burn plan so I am planning to incorporate future burns into our land management. Thanks for all your great advice.

Great informational video. Your intense property management is showing , the "Proving Grounds 2" is looking fabulous! Fire is required to get the most out of a property.

All of these species need fire maintained forests to survive and there are many many more I did not list, Bachmans Sparrows, Redcockaded wood peckers, gopher frogs, striped newts, flatwood salamanders, Southern hognose snake, Short tail snake, Eastern Indigo Snake, gopher tortoise, florida mouse, Pine Snakes, and many more. Fire ecology is mostly a non-game wildlife management tactic but as you can see game animals love the ashs and cooked remains.
