I Will Help - A choral work composed by B Sharp during the pandemic in the Summer of 2020.
“I will help” was composed during the Summer of 2020 for a competition run by the Harlequin Chamber Choir. The brief was to write a choral work inspired by the pandemic. I took inspiration from those who were helping as much as they could and how they acted as an example to others, instead of acting selfish.
The final result is a wonderful hopeful blend of voices that serves to gently remind each other to be the best version of ourselves as we do the right thing; not by the instruction of some higher power or figure but for the good of humankind.
