I am happy Mattel even made the Collector, I ordered one, and can not wait to get it, and the size it's a toy for kids, and adults, So you can't have it super huge ( Screen accurate ) I already made room for this one, And in the cartoon it's a medium Gray color, so this one is pretty close in color, no complaints here,!
That is a FANTASTIC little airship. I'd love to mod this for my current project- turning a "Turtles Of Grayskull" Man-At-Arms into Shaka The Good from "One Piece."
I love it too! And I don't mind the differences, especially the scale because I don't have the space. But I think this is a homerun for the Cartoon Collection. And in my head canon when the figures/vehicles don't match up perfectly I remind myself it's not the Filmation Collection. Did the same thing with the Club Grayskull line and it works. And they're both great lines for fans of the og show!

This line is billed as "Modernizing & celebrating the original '80s Masters of the Universe animated series."!
Mine is in my BBTS pile of loot, but I’m psyched (though I can wait to save some shipping money). I cherry pick the modern stuff, but this was a no-brainer for the same show-loving reasons you said. The scale doesn’t bother me. I wouldn’t have the space or money for this if it were scaled to the show dimensions.
Not having the space or money for a proper scale is definitely a great point. Hopefully this is a great success because I can't wait to see what Cartoon Collection vehicle they do next!
I didn't want to go small like Catra or large like Two-Bad, so I tested it with a middle of the road Masterverse figure i.e. New Eternia Tri-Klops and while you can get him in the chairs, the lid/top will not close when he sits in the chairs, especially the captain's chair.
While I'm glad I got 2 of these they should have doubled the size and put it on Mattel Creations for a crowdfund with added details. I also think they could have added a few stickers inside the ship.
I am just imagening double the size. Even though it would still be smaller scale, that would have been amazing! And great point about the stickers. A few cartoon accurate interior stickers would have made it even cooler!
I'm really disappointed that it's not the same color as in the cartoon :( This just looks like an unfinished product to me...maybe they will re-release it later?

I agree! Like to some degree Cringer, Mattel really captured the spirit and joy of the Collector and that's all anyone can ever ask for! 😀

That doesn't look blue, its purple in the cartoon. Which makes sense because of Skeletor.

You could put those.Worlds Smallest MOTU figures and they would be close to the correct scale with it,

Even though I'm happy with it, I totally understand your disappointment. Unfortunately I don't suspect an upgraded re-release anytime soon.
