I could only find Sunniland 0-0-7 at Lowe’s in the Georgetown/Austin area, had to go with the Scott’s brand of weed and feed. Grass is about 50% green now. After scalping I put the 0-0-7 down and the spectracide weed stop and have had no thistles a few poa and limited crab grass. Dropping the Scott’s weed and feed today. Supposed to be touching the 90’s next week

Just tossed down the Stress blend, here in south Texas and its not quite warm enough to start pushing growth just yet. Anderson PGF complete is my go to for May-July at a low rate every 3-4 weeks.
It's not rock salt (NaCl). You're right. But it is close. It's muriate of potash which is KCl which does increase the salt index in your lawn. The better form is sulphate of potash (K2SO4) which has a low salt index.
BYD I applied Flagship last week, it has been 7 day today and I couldn’t believe how well it worked. The Bermuda is waking up and very green. Thanks for your videos, I started to use YardMastery app and products for a year and very happy with the results work like a pro. I haven’t yet put down 12-12-12 . Do I still need to put it down now?

I apply scotts 3 in 1 in April 4-2-21 then I did a soil test and it recommended yard starter fertilizer 12-12-12 can I still apply it even if I had already applied scotts 3 in 1 ? BTW nice video very informative

I am going to buy the larger version of the spreader to put it down. What do I do next? My yard has never been aerated or de-thatched. I have sod that was put down 3 years ago when my home was built. My lawn was beautiful initially. Then, dandelions and weeds took over. I am willing to put in the work but just need to know-how. Your videos are very good. You take the time to explain why you should do this step or that step. Which really helps me. Because I am a newbie to taking care of my lawn. Keep putting out great content!
Hey BYD... I have a good question for you... 🤔 what do you do about the areas around your property where Bermuda won't grow well? Shady areas [where you can't cut the trees]??
Choices ( you can try zoysia sod in those areas, it tolerates shade better.) you can try Tif Grand BermudaGrass sod. You can try a shade mix grass but it will be different. You can do pine straw or mulch in those areas if it looks good. You can cut the bottom limbs of the tree to allow sunlight. Hope this helps.

First year Bermuda grass guy. High desert NM elevation 5500ft. Soil was my issue but got it fixed with humic and compost/ manure. Grass came in great and have used 32-0-4 all summer and mowing 2x a week. Fall is coming and need to apply pre emergent. I understand this grass goes dormant at 50 degree soil temperature. Should this be applied before dormancy? We go from summer to fall overnight. When should I quit the high nitrogen on newly planted areas?
Is the 0-0-7 my choice in fall? I worked really hard to grow grass in the desert. Don't want to screw up. How about winter? Temp can go as low as zero at times. Thx.
@@nmtidefan4735 007 is a good choice, you can’t go wrong. Applying in winter is ok but depends where you are. A frozen ground may not absorb the chemical. Best to get down right before ground temps get to 60.

You can add any Crabgrass Preventative formula. The YardMastery is my most current video so I’d follow it. The regular Sunniland first are harder to find.
BYD with this new fertilizer program I don't see 1 with Crabgrass Control Pre-Emergent 0-0-7. Are they not going to have it like the original Sunniland fertilizer program had it? So what would take place of it? Thanks!
Unfortunately they only have the Prodiamine formula and not the Dithiopyr formula. YardMastery hasn’t told me of any other formula yet either. Prodiamine works good to prevent most weeds but has not post emergent abilities.
Question BGC, I bought expert lawn gardener fertilizer. I went to Home Depot and Lowes to buy the fertilizer you suggested, but there hasn't been any in stock for a while. Do you think this will get the job done?
Expert gardener is good but not the best. You’ll get good results as long you mow and mow often. But not the same results as the fertilizers in this video or that I’ve suggested.

Bony sure where you at but BermudaGrass is heading into dormancy soon so your not gonna get a big reaction in 3 weeks to a lawn still trying to establish it self or you may have other issues happening 🤷🏾♂️

I’m in South MS and it’s hot as heck in June but my soil report came back suggesting 12-12-12 because my NPK is “too low”! My Zoyzia is one year old and struggling. I also have some HumaChar and Hi-Step micros to put down. Is it your opinion it’s ok to apply the 12-12-12 now?
@@sarathbe you cat do not at same time but the weed and feed should be applied to a wet lawn. So apply pre M, water lawn the apply weed and feed but water again according to what the weed and feed product says.
So sometime ago you said don't ever use Balanced fertilizer it is not for lawn. Now that you are promoting, you are contradicting the same macro profile, we can buy the cheapest balanced and add milo to it and essentially achieve the same with fraction of the price.
I still stand buy that. If it’s not formulated for the lawn I would not buy it for my lawn. Most 10-10-10 won’t cover 15k. You have to buy several bags. But if doing it the way you been doing it has been working for you then stick with that 👍🏾. You’ll never see BYD go buy treen and shrub fertilizer to apply to the lawn to save money 💰 but you will not achieve the same results. 👍🏾 or experiment 🧪 on your lawn to see if there will be a difference.
Unfortunately they don’t have a granular weed and feed, I’d suggest using a hose end spray after you apply a granular formula for the weeds. I haven’t been told that they are working on a weed and feed either but you never know🤷🏾♂️

A good dethatching will definitely help so the lawn can breath I would start there

They say apply pre M before soil temps get under 60. Between September and October depend on your weather to quit high nitrogen.

Try a product called Caravan G it's for fungus and insets really good

You’ll have to wait until the fall. You technically can’t apply until 12 weeks or 3 months after you seed.

either, I had toro for 10yrs no problems, but when that carb went, it went quick. Never had honda. But they have good reps.
Both are great mowers, the Honda engine has great durability.

hey man did you put out a calendar for 2021 its great you and yardmastery linked up just stocked up on the sunniland products 0 0 7, 24 0 11, 20 0 6 ,will these work with those products and how to incorporate them just put down 20 0 6 few weeks back thanks last year first year working with bermuda back yard i have fescue in front thinking about seeding back again next month would i use the starter fert 12 12 12 with the seeding thanks
Yes the Sunniland products can be used in place of the YardMastery schedule but I do suggest you get that Stress blend 7-0-20 for July 👍🏾

I’m in South MS and it’s hot as heck in June but my soil report came back suggesting 12-12-12 because my NPK is “too low”! My Zoyzia is one year old and struggling. I also have some HumaChar and Hi-Step micros to put down. Is it your opinion it’s ok to apply the 12-12-12 now?

@@sarathbe you cat do not at same time but the weed and feed should be applied to a wet lawn. So apply pre M, water lawn the apply weed and feed but water again according to what the weed and feed product says.

So sometime ago you said don't ever use Balanced fertilizer it is not for lawn.
Now that you are promoting, you are contradicting the same macro profile, we can buy the cheapest balanced and add milo to it and essentially achieve the same with fraction of the price.
I still stand buy that. If it’s not formulated for the lawn I would not buy it for my lawn. Most 10-10-10 won’t cover 15k. You have to buy several bags. But if doing it the way you been doing it has been working for you then stick with that 👍🏾. You’ll never see BYD go buy treen and shrub fertilizer to apply to the lawn to save money 💰 but you will not achieve the same results. 👍🏾 or experiment 🧪 on your lawn to see if there will be a difference.
What's the difference between flagship and sunnilands
The main difference is the YardMastery Brand is Spiked with a bio Soilid. The Sunniland brand is not.

Unfortunately they don’t have a granular weed and feed, I’d suggest using a hose end spray after you apply a granular formula for the weeds. I haven’t been told that they are working on a weed and feed either but you never know🤷🏾♂️
