This was such a lovely tutorial and I feel really pleased with my trees. Thank you
Fantastic to read your friendly feedback! Thank you so much!
This was EXTREMELY helpful!! Thank You for sharing your talent with all of us!!
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this very detailed tutorial. I really appreciate that you are open to requests. Thanks so much. Best wishes, Ute, Canada
That’s great to read and very motivating for my further episodes! 👍🖋️
Another great video! Thank you for these lessons that break it down into manageable bites. 😊
You are welcome!
Brilliant evocative representation of a dark mysterious forest - love it!! You mentioned in an earlier video that you would be open to suggestions - if that is so, regarding your city-scapes, I'd love to see more on how you approach the embellishments of your tower buildings, things like the cranes, antennae, ladders, doors, windows, walkways, aerials, balconies, vents, plant rooms, control rooms, communication dishes etc. Maybe a special on these ancillary parts of your work? Apologies if I've gone too far, but I love your detailed touches.
No, no! You haven’t gone to far! That’s exactly the discussion I want to hear! Perfect, you got the right point! Our drawings should be (sometimes) more, more of just the lines and perspective! Let’s keep it up! I will answer for that topic in a video within the next days! So excited about this topic! 👍💯
I love your style .. very appealing. Thankyou 👍
Thank you 💯🖋️👍
Spectacular! Thank you for your generosity in giving us such deep insight into your technique, materials and philosophy of work. 😃
I want to say thank you for such kind words 👍💯
Your style le is definitely that of an architect or draftsman. Most Artists generally draw the scene, then come back and hatch, then shade. You do all 3 simultaneously as you move along the page.
Outstanding! Thank you.
What a perfect description about my concept of a drawing workflow! well observed 🖋️👍💯
Thanks a ton

Thank you, Martin - very interesting!
Thank you for demonstrating your forest technique. It is so helpful! I drew along with you (had to pause the video several times because you draw so much more quickly than I’m able to) and got a result I’m really happy with!
Thank you very much! I'm very happy if it was helpful! It would be exciting to see your results! 🖋️👍
I’d show you but I have no idea how - can I post a photo in the comments or send it to you some other way? Let me know.

Hi Martin, anxious to see a new video from you. You did a short about different trees, which would be great as a new tutorial. Happy holidays!

Great tree tutorial, Martin!! I did a small sketch during my lunch break the other day with a little house and trees inspired by your work.
Wonderful to read such nice feedback, thanks for that!

From rasha whith love 😊
Thank you very much for the tutorial, I really liked it. the only thing I would like is that the angle of the camera was a little closer to the picture
Thank you very much for your input! It will be no problem to implement this in upcoming videos 👍🎬
i am your new subscriber, doing great
Welcome! Thank you so much 💯👍🖋️
I really love your style!!! Liked and subscribed!
Greetings from Italy.
thank you so much best greetings from Austria!
I imagine we could use a waterbrush filled with ink (your choice, and even different dilutions) for shading perhaps?
Absolutely, I did some of my other pictures of cityscapes that way 💯🖋️👍
@@MartinLachmairArt Thank you for your quick affirmation reply. 🤠. I'm not a 'fantasy' sketcher, but I do like how you do what you do showing me ways to improve. Thank you for sharing your knowledge & skills.
OMG, I'm so excited I just noticed you added a link to Amazon with your favorite tools just in time for Black Friday deals too. 😂
I'm off to Amazon to shop your list. Thanks again!
😁😁👍 … enjoy it! And thank you for your happy feedback 🖋️💯
I never tried this way. I always start outlines of trees and went into details. But still it is hard for me to draw trees and forest. Your way is intriguing me to try. Thanks for the tutorial😊
Great to hear this tutorial was helpful! Thanks for your feedback!! 🖋️👍
I accepted your challenge and enjoyed sketching with some Pigma pens I had on hand. The shadow areas ‘in the forest’ make it work but I struggle with the transition areas where the forest of trees ends on either side.
Would be great to see your results! and yes, the border of the forests are a special challenge 😁👍🖋️
Thank you. I intended to include a photo of the sketch - but it doesn't look like TH-cam allows attachments. I'll find a way to do it (I hope). @@MartinLachmairArt
You find my Instagram channel in the video description, there you can direct message me 🙂

thank you so much for your friendly feedback! Great! I follow Peter Sheeler on YT as well 🖋️👍
Thank you so much for doing this video, I can’t wait to give it a go! Can I ask what make your brush pen is? It seems to have a nice point on it! Thanks again 😊
Thank you for your friendly words! The brush pen is a Kuretake Sumi Brush Pen (available at amazon)
@@MartinLachmairArt That’s great, I’ll check them out, thank you! And thank you for taking the time to do these videos, it’s much appreciated😊

So schlimm, mein Englisch? 😅 Zum Glück unterrichte ich keine Fremdspachen. Und glaub mir auf Deutsch willst es schon gar nicht hören.
